Computer help, Cheap Photoshop? (NSR)

Anyone have a hook-up for Adobe Photoshop or possibly Design Suite? Found some deals here, but am trying to find better.

GF is looking into getting into soem design work on her own but is without the programs.

Any help would be appreciated.

One of the cheapest, legit ways I've found to buy software is to find an older, unregistered version on eBay, install it and then purchase the upgrade version.
Make sure you're buying a full, unregistered, non-academic version from eBay though. And, make sure you buy the oldest version you can buy that still qualifys for the upgrade.

The Gimp is pretty cool... Installers for Windows. It's free and pretty powerful (and has a cool dog logo). If you're using a proper OS, the Mac OS X version is here, but you need to install X11 from the Apple website. If you use Linux, get it from the main site.

Alternatively Photoshop Elements (Photoshop on Slimfast diet, but still partial to a pie) has pretty good features and can be found for around $100, I believe.
