    Fight Club

Does anyone else think this movie is fucking amazing? I've seen it three times now, and I dono what it is, but I cannot get enough of it. I turned it on last night at like 12;00 to go to sleep to and ended up staying up for the whole 2 hrs 20 minutes. work sucked the next morning though...
Something about the offbeat, dark humor is just so clever and hilarious to me.

Seen it about 20 or so times. One of the greatest movies ever made!

    Some of the best lines:

"Who hits people in the throat?"
"I haven't been fucked like that since gradeschool"
    "Your tits are too big"

The movie's funny because it make so much sense, thus proving how silly the real world is.

Plus - I really like the gleefull (almost party-like) way violence is dealt with. Best violence since A Clockwork Orange.

EAR!! You fucking jong! "Who hits someone in the EAR!

Edit to add: the best line is..... repeat after me.. "You are not special. You are the same decaying organic matter as everything else."

With a gun barrel between your teeth, you speak only in vowels.
it's all young and fun and skiing and then one day you login and it's relationship advice, gomer glacier tours and geezers.

true, but you have got to have patience. They read weird so they are definitely not for everyone.

Having only read Fight Club I can't really comment, but I thought it was an easy read. What other books of his do you guys recommend? I need to pick something up for a plane ride tomorrow.

Choke and Lullaby are worthwhile (as are all of his books)

Yeah, they are technically easy language wise, but sometimes it's just hard to figure out what he is trying to say or WHY he is telling the story in such a way. In the end though, they all seem to have their reasons. I would suggest "Diary" and "Choke". I pretty much liked all of his books but these stand out for me for some reason.
