12 months, where would you be

ok, you have a year off, money not complete concern but not an open checkbook (this is not my situation, just hypothetical), where would you spend each month of the year?

Jan- powder and solitude, Targhee seem like it'd be a solid choice with the chance to pop over to Jackson

Feb- more powder please, and a few canucks as well, interior B.C.

Mar- probably the best month in the alps, let's hope Cham is rolling in it

Apr- time for the big leagues...AK

May- some steep shooting and spring touring, it's Alagna

Jun- get the roadbike ready and explore Mallorca and the other islands in the med

Jul- follow the Tour around France

Aug- my mom's hometown in Spain, august is like a huge homecoming with tons of partying

Sep- i think a shot at the marte in is order, Las Lenas

Oct- few things like Vermont in the autumn, hitting the Long Trail with plenty of stops for apple pie

Nov- hangout with my sister in Boston

Dec- off to NZ to cruise around in a motor home

    Ok.

Jan: La Grave: Cold, blue light, icefalls forming, snow covering the Trifides, warm espresso, rock shots in planks.

Feb: Engelberg or Andermat: First spring rays, slowly settling snowpack, whiteness, cheesecake. And some espresso. But not too much. ( Never been there though...)

Mar: British columbia : Fernie,Kicking Horse,Whistler, enjoying the legendary "american powder" that i was a bit denied off last trip.

May: Glisse di La Primavera : Monte Rosa, ultimate spring corn.
No tracks, endless bowls, numerous highmountain peaks, no spandex clad italian speedsters (yet).
And some espresso at Wunderbar or Paul Verlaine. A sambuca too.

April: Riksgänsen and Lyngen. Reindeers on the hillside, allmost midnight sun, slush, powder, ice, corn, ice, sea straight beneath your skis (if you want to), small hytte with a crappy swedish sauna.
    Some kaffe och Vodka.

June: Dolomiti e Haute Route: Sunscreen, allmost empty (or closed) refugios, more corn, high pressure, climbing now and then, getting those skiinies skis out from the closet (88mm),
    skinnig in underwear.
    Sambuka.

July: New Zeeland : Sheep. Smell of wet sheep. Land Rovers (prefeably Defender). A bit of helicopters, maybe a cessna if nothing else is aviable. Fjords. Cayaks. More fjords.
Thinking: "...can i say the word Fjord in New Zeeland, because it´s a Norweigian word, and it doesent belong here. And norway doesnt have semi tropical rainforrests either..."

August: Argentina: Las Lenas, Andes, Buenos Aires, Beef, More Beef with redwine, that chick that had the dog with the funny thing that had her good boobies showing and she had brown eyes and the picture was on this site too, powder, cold, more beef.

September: Patagonia: Torres del paines, Compressor Couloir (looking at it only), glaciers, more Fjords, Thinking: "...can i say the word Fjord in Chile, because it´s a Norweigian word, and it doesent belong here...", that same chick, snowcaves, wind.

October : Japan : Climibing, hokkaido, sushi (fugu if insisted too..) , bullet trains, tokyo, seaside climbing, old Dojos, old Shinto temples, paths, stone yards, pointing fingers at the traffic police (who has a mandatory 30min oxygen break every half an hour) and shouting "I remember pearl harbour!" and watching him/her try to keep his/her composure, geishas, tunafish, Mt.Fuji.

November : Dubai : Dunes, empty villages, sandstorms, Land Rovers, more sand, sandboarding, lamb, sand, sun, sea, Oman, cheap gasoline, more sea, 10.000 dolphins, diving, air conditionig, more Land Rovers, millionares, billionares, trillionares.

December : Serre Chevalier : christmas presents, p-tex, genepie, melatonine, transreciever practice, influenza shot, mc donalds with redwine, hugging ( thats so christmas), rockshots, p-tex, making a appointment with my psychiatrist, because I, just used 1 hour of my, life, to write this silly, thing, on, a, beautifull summer day.
I have never been good with facts.

February-Stay in Nelson but travel to places that arent as reliable in January like kicking horse, Big Sky, Moonlight.

March-Head to Utah and ski alta/snowbird and various other resorts. Head back east if word of a big storm reaches my ears.

April-Head to tahoe or mammoth to enjoy some spring skiing in bounds and in the bc.

    May-repeat of april

June-Head north to whistler/vancouver area to spend my days mtn biking, sailing, and golfing in the south coast of BC

July- Head over to europe to follow the tour de france around

August-Head to hilton head island, SC and charleston, SC for a month of golf, beaches and really nice old cities. Or Las Lenas, depending on how the snowfall is so far that season

September-Head to colorado, the San Juans or the Area around aspen for mtn biking and the start of the fall season.

October- head for the adirondacks and new england for fall foliage and hiking in the High Peaks, the adirondacks in the fall are one of the msot beautiful things ive ever seen.

November-Try to get in some ski days whereever the snow is good, then head up the Adirondacks for thanksgiving and some early season turns at Gore with my dad.

December-Head to Grand Targhee or other very reliable early season resort for some powder, then cap it all off with some golf in the Hilton head area around Christmas with my rents.
