South Mineral (see pics in other thread) --> Animas Forks (plop and drop exploratory) ---> Upper Uncompaghre to check out a sketchy waterfall section with some kids that are possibly crazy enough to run it ---> Super Secret (yet so incredibly obvious I can't really believe it hasn't been run more) Stash ----> POSSIBLE yet unlikely Upper Animas.

All mixed in with Fireworks, camping, hiking, drinking and debauchery

Heading off for the Main Salmon, from Corn Creek to Vinegar Creek with copious amounts of beautiful women. If the water isn't amazing, then at least the scenery will be!

Not much in terms of boating plans. Going to do some eddy jumping on the Thompson and scout/run (prob not the upper gorge) on Prospect Creek.

Most of my plans involve drinking my face off.

I'm envious of your plans Root, good stuff there.

Started the boating off early with a play run down the Upper Green Gorge last night which was unique in that: A: The dam usually shuts off by May. B: It was 80 degrees with thunder and lightning. C: A super cool mist/fog had formed and stayed at river level the entire trip. Spooky and cool at the same time. Keep in mind fourty prostitutes were dumped in this river by Gary Ridgeway back in the 80's.

    Tentative plans.
Friday: Day hike with the wife and friends followed by BBQ/Fireworks in Seattle.

Saturday: Creek runs on Little Wentchee followed by Icicle Creek. Camp out.

Sunday: China Gorge on the Cle Elum followed by some possible laps on FITW.

These are all levels dependent as things are kind of on the high end right now.

Thursday: Late evening surf session on Rock Creek in Joliet, MT
Friday: Checked out the Springdale Wave on the Yellowstone and packed my boat two miles back to the car because of poor directions
Saturday: Ran the Upper Stillwater at the highest level I have ever ran it.
Sunday: Sat around all day calling every last person that I paddle with and tried to get them on the water, but no go.

All in all this was one the best weekend of the kayaking season so far.

Get on them? We did little wenatch and icicle the weekend before (6/29-30) when temps were 100+ and didn't see anyone else on either. My first time in the area and things were juicy to say the least. Everything was clean on little wenatchee and generally boat scoutable, but icicle was huge. We put in at the top of the road and got down to the limbo before everyone I was with decided they'd had enough. I'm curious if water dropped enough to finish the middle.

Tumwater looked insane. A few lines in there looked worthy of a go though.

Cool. Glad you made it up for some high water. Icicle get's pretty serious at high flows. The middle is good to go right now all the way down to Snow Creek. You happened to come up during one of the spikes. Taking out at Limbo was probably a good idea. All of Tumwater (minus Exit) does get run at that level by some locals and usually in playboats. Here's a good vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXC5_4b86jE

We ended up hitting Upper Nason and Little Wenatchee. Both were at good medium flows. If your in the area again with hot weather, I would recommend the Upper Foss and the lapping the last mile of the Rapid River in the Skykomish drainage.
