I think we need another dead pool.

Can't wait for the highlights tomorrow. Maybe they'll have enough footage for a PPV event.

There's a spot on the bench in Motown for him if he'll pay.

Always wanted him and Stockton to get one together. As a Laker? No.

Kinda crazy...what the Pistons did to LA is similar to Calgary knocking out our beloved 'Wings. Hard working young guns against a list of furture hall of famers brought together to make one final push at a championship.

Hell yes, total domination by the pistons. Hard to pick just one mvp, the whole starting 5 deserved it, but its good to see it go to Chauncey. I liked seeing steven a smith with the pistons championship t shirt on sports center, hows that crow taste???

Hopefully this win not only gives some credit to the Pistons but to the eastern conference as well. I think for sure that the Pacers would have beaten the lakers and maybe the nets could have as well. Everyone trashed the pistons for low scoring but when they play against a team with crappy defense that lets you get some fast break points their shooting percentage goes up and they start scoring a decent amount of points each night.

Its looking really good for the pistons next year as well, as long as they sign 'sheed, which I dont see any reason why the hell he wouldn't sign with the pistons again. Hopefully darko makes some progress over the summer, and their other pick from last years draft, Carlos Delfino, has been tearing it up in europe apparently. This could be the start of something very good.

Who needs Darko? Rip and Prince played their asses off in this series. Dumars looks like a freaking genius right now.

Hats off to the Pistons. They came in with a sound plan, executed it to perfection, and absolutely dominated every game. Well deserved vicotry.

So stoked on the Pistons win. Very much the ideal Detroit team. I love how little respect they got in the media.

screw that....he deserves one with the Jazz when he was in his prime, but to join the lakers (kobe and shaqs team) just to get the ring, in BS in my book.....

My friend compared the Pistons to the Pats. At first I said "huh?", but then it made sense. Well executed, few mistakes, tough, tough defense, no respect.

Perhaps they look like next year's Pats (who probably will have quite a bit of respect though) with Corey Dillon starring as Rasheed, the talented black sheep who finds the right team.

I do think Malone deserves one. All I can say is I have been nothing but impresses with his passion, heart, and effort this year. He was the energy and glue for the Lakers and would have definitely earned it keeping the bunch of ego's in check. Always quick to take blame and to not want to let his teamates down. The man has a great attitude and loves the game.

Can say that about very few pro ballplayers in this age, especially some of the other Lakers (GP springs to mind)

Edit: Oh ya, congrats Pistons (even though it pains me), well executed plan and they showed this is still a team sport.

I took pow ho to a Pistons/Jazz Game season before last.

I asked him walking from my condo to the Delta Center
"Pistons got anybody but Big Ben Wallace?!?!"

He replied "they got Chauncy Billups" with the mad powho grin.

    they got Chauncy Billips alright.

    damn what a pounding.

AS to Malone. I did not want him to win a ring this way & had been cheering for the Pistons ( and yes I still have an autographed Karl with Hair in Pumas poster on my wall that says "basketball not wrestling")
but watching a man who had prided himself on being a frickin workhorse for longer than Lebron has been alive sitting on the bench killed me.

as to the rest of the East beating the Lakers? hogwash. LB is the only man aive that could out coach Phil

    Bump.

If the board is going to be overrun by spectator sports threads, Detroit's gotta represent.
