Home Court Advantage- more MA Bass Slayage

Had to make another weekend home to deal with my bass fishing obsession. Same spot as always, but conditions are getting better. Got two evenings in, which were both money. I was pulling out an around 10 each night, but am only gonna post the worthy ones. Oh yeah, and I didn't just decide to put up the pics of me, its just turns out I was killing it and landed most of the good larrys. Anyways... enjoy the lunkers.

Haha, yeah I know that may have looked weird. My little bro had a hot date and left early so my buddy took his place for primetime.

How are you targeting those guys? Deep? Shallow? Lure? Retrieve? Line weight?

Using a texas rigged 5 inch Yamomoto Senko (never anything else) either black/green with a yellow tail or, pumpkin with a pink tale with a 5/0 extra-wide-gap offset hook on 8 lb test braided line.

Pretty much staying shallow... most of the bigger guys were caught maybe a max of 3 feet deep out in more open water around lilly-pad patches. I am mostly just hitting the good lookin spots, largely based on the lillies and other growth. Not really going for depth or shelves considering senkos are more or less topwater, unless you are really patient or use a weight, which I don't. Yet, these strategies change a bit depending on time of year and what's working. A lot of the big ones I have caught in years past have been from dragging offshore of points and fallen trees. Keep in mind, this pond probably has a max depth of 8 or 10 feet.

So far as retreive, I do a lot of spot casting so I give it 5 or 10 seconds after it drops before I give any action, followed by real slow and gentle jiggling retreival. I try to stay away from a quicker reel-in considering it will often result in attracting and landing pickerel, which I hate dealing with.
