Thumbs up I found my ski

I lost a piece of junk Rossi XXX in January at Alta. It's missing a bit of the edges on each side. I didn't care to look for it for more than about 30 minutes given it's piece of crap nature. I lost it after dropping a 20 foot cliff in Bad News - released on impact.

I hiked up today and it was sitting right there in the landing zone on top of the snow. There is still a bit of snow up there - maybe a foot to 3 feet in some places. I'm stoked that I recovered the ski and more importantly the binding. Now I need to get some fat twins to put the bindings on.

Did I mention that there was a "Saint Anthony" fest in Hoboken, NJ this past weekend? Basically just an excuse to drink.... but I guess toasting to the patron saint of lost things proved beneficial!

Surprisingly, I didn't see any other skis up there. Considering that mine was sitting cleanly on top, I'd guess that most skis should be visible at this point.

I call bullshit. I now see that all these years of talking about stiff volkl's were just to hide your insecurities about skiing such a noodle. It's a trava-sham-ockery.

I wonder what effects a winter and spring under the snow have on the binding? good that you found it though.
