As reported, he flew a crew over from Ireland for the purpose of a confrontation. That could be hype, but if it bears out, this isn't just a high spirited confrontation. Kinda like throwing hands at a barbecue not being the worst thing in the world, but if you get the worst of it and decide to run to the shed and get the shovel, you just bought lots of trouble, and if you showed up with 20 associates to cause trouble, it's even worse.

This was going to be one of the cards I was most looking forward to until yesterday.

Khabib/Tony has been building for a year, and they both beastly fighters. When Tony pulled out and was replaced by Max, I was disappointed, but intrigued.
Rose/Joanna was one of my favorite fights last year, and I was excited to see how Rose beats Joanna again. Rose suffers from anxiety and after yesterday afternoons debacle, I'm not o sure she will be able to get back the headspace to beat Joanna.
Chiesa/Pettis-Both fighters are looking at trying to get back on the right track, and are both dangerous.
Iaquinta/Felder- I think this might be Felder's last fight, and Al is a Serra-Longo guy, and they're always out for war.

All four fights on the prelims could be contenders for FOTN. They could be a main card on Fox.

Nurmagomedov totally toyed Al Iaquinta for 5 rounds, but Al Iaquinta got tons of balls to step into the octagon within a day notice and even taunted Nurmagomedov.

Happy to see Nurmagomedov finally got the title he deserves.

In the post-event presser, Kabob said he used rounds 3, 4 and 5 to get experience in stand-up and measure his endurance in five round matches. In his words, five rounds of real combat is worth 10 weeks of training. His corner (and his father) were busting his balls for not finishing earlier. As such, I wouldn't read too much into his performance in those rounds. 3 and 4 didn't look like classic Kabob because he was experimenting. That's pretty fucking scary. Most guys just want to finish a match but Kabob is so confident that he uses his title shot to get in a little stand up practice. Will there be a Kabob vs. Conor match? Only if Dana throws Conor enough money to retire on cuz his career as a shittalkin' badass is over after he gets in the ring with Kabob.
