That is so not happening. McGregor is fighting either Diaz or Holloway in the fall, if he ever fights in the UFC again. Either of those fights is a huge payday without a lot of risk. Fighting Kabob, on the other hand, could totally end McGregor's more valuable career as a premier shittalker. Sure, he could still talk shit but then everyone would remember the sight of him getting beat to a bloody pulp by Kabob and, after that, the shit talking just wouldn't sell like it does now.

McGregor/Diaz rubber match definitely happens...the fight fan in me wants to believe McGregor is game & fights Khabib but not holding my breath. Mayweather never sets foots in the octagon for sure, especially against McGregor. Hopefully Holloway/McGregor rematch happens.

Holloway is a beast for taking this fight, but he is probably going to lose. Namajunas Vs Jedrzejczyk is going to be interesting, I have Rose beating JJ again.

What a saga; Ferg/Kabob...will it ever happen? After all that trash talk from Ferg and now this...disappointing. Hopefully will happen and the hype will just keep on building till it does.

Oh man, Holloway...really like him as a fighter but jesus, this fight on this short of notice? Coming back from injury announced on Feb 3 and recently watching him in interviews, sure doesn't look in prime fighting shape...hoping for the best for the guy but being realistic...dangerous fight for him, imo.

Mac/Diaz 3? Hope it happens for sure!

I know Mayweather has to fight or he will go bankrupt...but to think he is getting in the octagon with Connor McGregor is just silly. CMpunk maybe but no way he fights anyone in the top 10 in the UFC

    Hahaha

I mean Conor fights standing up. He will have lots of new moves but Floyd has unlimited stamina and we have never seen him unleash a fury, street fight style if you will. It’s obvious that it will happen for the ufc as it will grant them the biggest payday ever. Don’t forget Floyd and Dana are long time associates.

Kabib. Who has he fought? Ya he’s good but he’s not some expert fighter like a Diaz bro

I do agree about Khabib, I feel he is too arrogant....I had $ on Ferguson. Hoping Max can pull off some Hawaiian warrior shit on Saturday. Just as long as Thug Rose either KO's or strangles JJ unconsious I will be happy

His win over Michael Johnson was pretty significant. Talking trash during the fight to both Dana and Johnson is pretty ballsy.

Excuse me? They both fought Dos Anjos around the same time with very different results. Dos Anjos is a premier fighter who was in his prime at the time of those bouts; he won the belt right after those fights. If that's not a fair test/comparison, I don't know what is.

Kabob held even with Dos Anjos on strikes and won the fight with his take downs and control. On the other hand, Diaz got thoroughly embarrassed by Dos Anjos who out hit Diaz 77 to 13 and cruised to an easy decision. Both of those fights happened a few years ago and since then Kabob has gotten a lot more experienced while Diaz has merely gotten a lot richer, older and softer. Seriously, I like Diaz but, at this point, a tiny fruit fly landing on his scarred, lumpy eyebrows will start a gusher of blood. That was a serious issue for him the last time, probably cost him the fight. Or maybe he lost that decision to McGregor because he gassed out early in the 4th. What I'm saying is, Kabob doesn't bleed like a stuck pig and he has a deeper gas tank.

Holloway vs Kabob is going to be a bullfight. By which I mean, Holloway is going to have to be one hell of an agile matador or else he is going to get gored. This would be a tough one for him even with a full camp and a proper weight cut period. He has neither.

Surely the UFC is keeping these guys (Holloway, Ortega) primed "just in case"? I mean, otherwise, it's a guy taking on an undefeated, world class beast, from a weight class above him, on a week's notice? No way.

Sure, seems like a longshot but Holloway is stepping up because the worst thing that happens is he takes a beating. He's going to make some good money without putting his own belt on the line. And, if he pulls off the upset, he is golden. He'll get points on pay per view sales for at least a $10M payday fighting McGregor in the Two Belt Champion Superfight. The UFC can sell the hell out of that rematch. They can pay McGregor $30M and Holloway $10M and still make a boatload of money. The downside is a concussion, the upside is more money than he'll ever make otherwise. And if he beats McGregor, the sky is the limit. So, taking this longshot actually makes a lot of sense for Holloway; the ratio of reward to risk totally makes sense.

Speaking of Dos Anjos, did everyone see he just got Covington for UFC 224. In Brazil. Well, you can't say Dana White doesn't have a flair for the dramatic. Dos Anjos gets to defend Brazil's national honor against the bonehead wanna-be heel who really just doesn't know when to shut the fuck up. I don't know how they are going to get Covington in and out of there in one piece but, wow, that is going to be the loudest crowd in the history of the UFC. Screaming. For. Blood.

in your opinion do you think RDA's bjj skills & experience can withstand Colby's wrestling, cardio & youth for 25 minutes?

I haven't seen enough of motormouth to have an opinion. Who cares. The real story is if Colby wins and runs his mouth again, the crowd will rip the seats out and start hurling them in his direction. I bet Dana isn't going to be anywhere near that one. He and Rogan will be at home while the mob throws batteries and seat cushions at that dipshit. Hell, the walk out is going to be an event in itself. Is Covington going to do his walk out in a spit-proof bubble?

Rogan doesn’t do any shows outside the US anymore. He’ll be doing a JRE Fight Companion for that one, so its probably going to be Jimmy “I Had To Throw Out All My Black Shirts” Smith on the mic for that one.

I get Holloway's motivation to take the fight. I was more inferring that it seemed likely to me that Dana has a few guys kept on the DL, ready to step in to a big fight in the event someone gets injured, misses weight, tests positve, etc.

I have zero factual basis for this, but it seems to me that we're being led to believe that Max was just chilling on his couch playing video games when he got the call out of the clear blue sky to fight in a week.

And to me, at the level of undefeated beast mode higher weight class Russian dude, that that's just crazy talk.

It was either UFC 223 at Barclays Center or the Masters.
    I chose the Masters.
Better find a bar with the fight in Augusta, GA.

Congratulations, Conor McGregor for being such a moron that now Dana has to have second thoughts about not only your next fight but your career and your sanity, in general. Here is the official statement (start 1:30). Looks like this is the end for the Notorious in the UfC.
