The inflatable Alligator is my pool toy of choice for regatta. Unlike the whale, dolphin or shark, the alligator can actually surf a wave rather well. Took mine on the river with me two weeks ago and had a pretty good time surfing it on our local play wave.

i saw that one too and thought that would rock as well. i thought the killer whale would have the novelty though, is that the more riverrunner pool float where as the croc is the playboat variety

would that make the oasis with the palm trees the creeker?

I have the whale in my quiver of pool toys, just have not gotten up the balls to run any creeks. Its go a shit load of rocker to it, so it should be good for a downriver excursion.

The best place for info is looking at pictures from the annual Coloma, California Toe Up Cup.

The gator may be a better surf, but look at that volume distribution on the bow of the whale... huge loops.
