    Is that it? game over?

    DEVILS ADVOCATE HERE:

Would it have been OK (humorous) to pick an action sports athlete?

Perhaps a Shane McConkey or Glenn Plake?
Or how bout Michael Jordan? Wayne Gretzky?

Maybe, I pissed some of you off for even thinking about them? Huh???

Well what the fuck is the difference. Betting on someone dying is not cool

Let me clarify, I am not looking for anything.

I know the "they die in threes" saying and am just presenting the evidence. I personally think it is morbid to bet on someone dying, but I know it is mostly a joke here.

I saw this thread yesterday but did not post.

I posted today about Rosie, as he would be considered number 3.

I was kidding when I said I win. Sorry for not putting in the winky dood.

I this case, three peolple lost and lost bad.

Edit: Macdaddy says "Betting on someone dying is not cool "

    Agreed.

I don't know if I'd call a guy I never heard of a celebrity, but whatever, if people want it to be over it can be.

edit: Geez, Buzz and MacDaddy, lighten up. It's not like we're rooting for anybody to die.

I knew it would be sports star, but thought it would be someone like Dennis Rodman.

Are you serious, never heard of him? Hall of fame but not considered a celebrity? Well, then game is still on I guess.

Rosie could be an answer to the original Trivial Pursuit. However, he is an unknown in the Genus III rendtition. Thus, not a celebrity.

    shall we proceed?

I think the game is still on. Rosie Brown RIP, but not quite gonna cut it. I'll admit I've never heard of him either.

Must resist urge to bet on Billy Graham to help pay for trip to Las Lenas...

It is kind of morbid when you think about betting on someone who is in the hospital, though.

    Cool, new sig.

Never heard of that football player, Hall of Fame or not. Game on.

Speaking of sports heroes, did they take Ted's head out of deep freeze? Does that make him officially dead?

I disagree. Hall of Fame = Celebrity.

MR ICEMAN DONT GET ME WRONG!

I'm the biggest sumbitch when it comes down to it- I just suck at cutting and pasting.

I speak my mind. “In fact”, I thought of starting a similar thread but you beat me to it.

So, that being said, I was just trying to stir the POT in this here community.
My intensions, where to create a hypocritical reaction, from the “extremo assholeios” teeny boppers, that dwell sometimes/perpetually on TGR. Some folks don’t have the life experience to talk as much shit as they do (I, at least, try to run the blade, but, ATLEAST I stay on the blade!) others are arrogant pricks, that show no foresight, just ignorance.
I’m NOT talking about ANY ONE that contributed to this thread… I am talking about the vile wormlets that eat shit and some how grow into…..never mind.

I will get off my high and mighty soap box and let the party flow

That is all!!!! This community is my family, and I just wanted to make sure you know that Satan is watching!!!

Emile Heskey, at the hands of the British press, when he gets back to the UK.
Monty Python's version of the cougar phenomenon:
"This is a frightened city. Over these houses, over these streets hangs a pall of fear. Fear of a new kind of violence which is terrorizing the city. Yes, gangs of old ladies attacking defenseless, fit young men".

Tony "RA"nal, Ronald "REA"gan, "RAY" Charles. The Bet was over before it even started! (I got this from The Howard Stern Show, alas, I wish it was original.)

Edit: Sometimes I feel like telling Iceman to "loosen up", but then I think that that would be like asking for an avalanche. If a man made of ice "loosens up" what happens? I don't want him to fall apart, I love that guy.

Bah! Tony Randall died, what, like the middle of May. Too far back, I'd say.

Of course this is why this "they always go in threes" things works. There are people dying of some celebrity constantly. So to complete the threesome they just go back a month, or include someone of dubious celebrity to support the wives tale.

American skiing legend Dick Durrance dead at 89
    By Associated Press
    June 14, 2004

ASPEN, Colo. — American skiing legend Dick Durrance, who won 17 national championship titles and put Aspen on the map of major ski destinations, died Sunday. He was 89.

Durrance died of natural causes in Carbondale, north of Aspen, family members said.

Durrance, the first general manager of the Aspen Skiing Co. and a key developer of the resort at Alta, Utah. Besides his 17 national championships, he won three Harriman Cups, North America's largest ski race in the late 1930s, and placed eighth in the slalom and 11th in the downhill at the 1936 Winter Olympics.

"His real significance to American skiing was that he bridged the gap between (the United States) and Europe, where the technique was far more advanced," said John Fry, a former editor of Ski Magazine and the former media president of the International Skiing History Association. "What Dick brought was a racing turn that was ahead of his time."

    Foul!

And to add my 5 cents, there are definitely some people for whom I am rooting to die.

That's why I was attempting a trifecta. couldn't narrow it down.
