Utards :: Dirt-Jumping, Hucking this Saturday!!!

Be there. Thinking I-Street around 11 or 12.

So far it's me and maybe phUnk, but he's an unreliable wanker.

Who's in? phUnk said if anyone else shows he'll do the 6-footer.

    J-

PS: I-Street's got tiny jumps all the way up to big ones. So come one come all.

That time of day sounds like a good time to start shuttling or maybe pedaling an epic XC ride on big squishy bikes.

J-It's time you just sacked up and put the AS-X on the credit card, so you'll stop gettin dissed every time you post a DJ trip on the boards!

I like DJ and all, it's fun, really, but...put it next to a sweet trail ride with a gnarl descent and it don't hold a candle, especially w/ this crowd.

That said if I was around this weekend I'd go but me and the 2-weeks-from-being-the-Mrs. are heading down to VEGAS. Next time sucka.

700 E becomes I Street once it hits the avenues. Go up to the end and follow it to the left, then around to the right. Turn in after the Ward and park. Go down the trail to the left around the water tower.

Or we could just meet somewhere and go up together.

Mr. AG, there are even big jumps for studs like you .

Particle, that kicks ass y'all are graduating in a couple weeks. Congrats!

If it wasn't for Mrs. Frizzo I would.

Course, if it wasn't for Mrs. Frizzo I'd still have a credit rating of about 150.

    that is what I did

My girl told me, if I bought another bike she didn't want to hear me bitch about being broke all the time. So I just bought it and didn't tell her, a couple days later she said where did that new bike come from in the garage.

I may be broke all the time, but I have some cool toys to play with. Then I pimped the bike out with extra's and threw them on the credit card. The other half is always holding a brotha/sista back.

Just go for it and see what happens.
A gay-rage full of toys. You can guess em.

Soooo, where is everyone riding today?

I'd like to come down and check it out. Take some test pics. Where are you meeting and when?
I want a 6" travel 20lb MTB. I found the 20lb MTB, but only good for riders under 87 pounds.

Thinking 5pm, I-Street. I'll post directions tomorrow. If you have a chasecam by then things could get ugly.

    Thumbs up

5 it is. I wont have the helmet cam ready, cause I'll pick it up just before going to the dj. But I'll try to have it for Sundance on Tuesday.

    Cool, 5 it is.

GT, the jumps at I-street are at the top of I-street, after it becomes North Hills Drive, (I think).

Basically: 700 E becomes I Street once it hits the avenues. Go up to the end and follow it to the left, then around to the right. You'll pass a Ward and the parking lot is right after the ward. There may be a sign for Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Park, go down the trail to the left, around the low water tower.

    Here's a map:

I checked out the dirt jumps on my way home from my BST ride at about 9PM. I didn't know the dirt jump area was so extensive.

There were only 3 people there. It was kinda funny because they looked at me with my FS XC bike and non-DJ gear like I was some sort of alien. (I even had my bike lamp too! /snicker) Of course, seeing me ride around kinda clueless and getting ZERO air didn't help matters either.

We left around 9 so we probably just missed each other. Unless there was a psycho dog there with the people, in which case that was us.

Most people there are pretty cool about n00bs. Except phUnk; he's a pro-ho .

Sniff, sniff Frizzo was unemployed, and AS-Xless. And powho didn't know where I street was! How times have changed...

We'll miss ya Frizz. You guys should move back in 2 years, like me.
