    Thailand Surfing

What are the opportunities for surfing in Thailand, specifically Bangkok? I have the opportunity to go there for a few months and I'm kind of on the fence. Also what percentage of people speak English in Bangkok and how much money would I need to live reasonably well for 3 months? Any info is greatly appreciated.

There is no surfing in Bangkok and none worth the bother in Thailand. Here's Punani's map from the wayback machine:

I've no idea what reasonably well is to you. guest houses and street food $10-$20. Sheraton $100. Bangkok is very tourist oriented

There isn't any surfing near Bangkok? It doesn't have to be that good just some decent waves that are surfable (is that a word?).
