Serious message in the Cubs loss

During the Cub's scintilating run towards the World Series, I have received many in-your-face, braggadocios calls from my northerly neighbors (never from Truth, though).

While I wanted to root for the small bears, that behavior soured me on their feel-good story.

All I have to say is: if the cubs win tomorrow night, try to be humble in victory. Man, I have never seen such stunned disbelief - it was sad. Definitely the definition of "humble pie".

Great drama, though - I mean, as a baseball fan...

[disclaimer] this thread not intended to imflame [end: disclaimer]

Edit: I know, this is kind of a lame, gay post...sorry. I will leave this stupid shit here, though, to become part of the glorious history of this board.

living in wrigleyville, i have been pretty surprised with the cubs fans. i assumed they were like boston fans since they have an old stadium and haven't won in a really really long time. i was wicked wrong guy. there are a select few serious cubs fans and the majority have NO clue how the game is played. cheering for how high pop flies go and stuff. not a lot of emotion. a lot of social drinking and talking though (which isn't bad! just different...)
