Unhappy Think you're having a bad day? At least you're not a Cub.

    What a crappy deal.

That poor kid who tried to get that foul ball... was that Alou's hit?

What a turnaround today. I started the day thinking we still had a chance to see the best World Series in years, now I'd bet the Yanks are going to play the Marlins.

    Bummer.

It really did look like the kid blew the catch. The Cubby jinks is still alive and well. Too bad. I'm rootin for them. We use to be able to see into Wrigley Field from our apartment, on the near north side.

THAT GODDAMN STUPID SON OF A BITCH

i can't believe that selfish little brat who calls himself a cubs fan knocking that ball away from alou that would have made pudge out! That right there cost us the game. SON OF A BITCH. I cannot believe that. Selfish little brat calls himself a cubs fan. I hope he never wears the hat again.

    Unhappy

That fan didnt give up 8 runs in one inning by himself. Yeah he fucked up but the ball was over the seats and he was probably just thinking about how cool it would be to get a ball from the game the cubs won the pennant.

Though taking a vacation for a few days might not be a bad idea for him.

He's doomed. 20 years from now they'll be doing a "where is he now" thing on Chicago TV, or even People magazine.

Remember Jeffrey Maher? He stole a home run from the Orioles at Yankee Stadium during the playoffs a while ago. He's a star in NYC.

Techincally if its in reach, its fair game for the fan. But that still makes him a stupid shit for trying it.

I was all excited for a Red Sox-Cubs Series matchup. Now it's looking like it could be Yankees-Marlins. Talk about a snoozer. Come on Cubs, give us something to cheer for!

I gotta say, though, that I don't blame the kid, really. He's young, and just wanted the ball. I bet he didn't even see Alou. Still sucks, but the kid didn't loose the game. How about Alex Gonzalez blowing the double play?

And, check out this quote from Alou:

"Fans, they don't go to school to be taught what balls to touch and what balls not to touch," said Alou, who was upset at the souvenir-seeking fans. "Things like that happen."

Yeah, it's tough to lay it all on fan. Gonzales did blow an easy play. Prior had two crappy pitches to Pudge and Lee, and oh, they gave up three runs with two outs. They choked.

As much as I'd like to claim that's a VT original I doubt that it is. I've seen several variations of it for other schools.

Looks like Ben Stiller in disguise.

Whoever it is should be publicly flogged, humiliated and hung.

I'm not a "fan" of Chicago, but I feel their pain. We had Buckner, they've got THIS idiot.

8-3. Not like it was a close game, or anything.
