When I moved out here last year, I thought Alta had the best snow I ever skied. No wonder why all the locals looked at me funny when I said that. And here I thought everyone was just ungrateful. Now I understand just how spoiled skiers really are out here.

being spoiled is in your mind. its a mental problem alot of alta skiers have. i heard people complaining about days this season on the lift. when i remember the only "bad" ski day was closing day when it didnt soften up.

.....go out and make this season the best season of your life. Ski that line, take that trip, slide that rail, make that leap, live for the moment, and make memories with friends that’ll last a lifetime, because as a great man once said, “If you don’t do it this year, you’ll be one year older when you do.”

I spent the season at alta/snowbird last year. Everyone constantly bitched how it sucked (which it did, statistically). But, LCC is amazing even on the shittiest years, if you're not a complete retard. That's by far the most snow I've seen in LCC this late ever. Looks like there is more there than some of the cascades even. I'm excited to get out there when I graduate U of W and ski post-grad pow.

Keep in mind they just got fresh snow. It would be a more fair comparison (still amazing) if they did it when the new snow melts.

actually the fresh snow doesnt do much for the pic but not make it look like a dust storm blew in last week of alta, the snow is reallly dirty.

I'm in the same boat. People were bitching all season, and I still had some of the best days of my life. When 400" is your worst winter in decades, you know you've got something good going on...
Skiing, whether you're in Wisconsin or the Alps, is a dumbass hick country sport that takes place in the middle of winter on a mountain at the end of a dirt road.
