positive trail news in MT, for a change

Went out to Lewis & Clark State park today, still nothing open up high worth riding.

At the end I spoke with a couple of hosts at the campground and asked them for contact info about the future of Mountain Biking in the park. I had heard that we may be kicked out of there as well.

Turns out on Friday, a group from the local Mtn Bike group in Bozone is meeting at the park with the park manager and will begin working on an expanded trails layout within the park. Maybe now we can have some cleanable switchbacks.

I will post more info when I get it. Anyone else hear about this?
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Yep, I think the trail day out there is being organized by either the Montana Mountain Bike Alliance, or the Bozeman Bike Club. If you're interested in helping out, send me a PM and I'll put you in touch with one of the folks organizing it.

I'm gonna be out of town for a wedding, otherwise I'd be out there.

On a side note, I rode Brackett Creek last night and it was in really good shape....

That's pretty sweet - are they actually starting to build the trails Friday
or talking with the managers and laying out where they should go?
