End of season shout out for my son Tate, we share boards, beers and more. I don't know how many times we went this season, but it was a bunch and every time was a blast. Will start to plan a couple of post season bc trips, Meadow Lake being one. Cheers!

You're a lucky man LBL. I wish my girls had got into skiing, but growing up by the beach made them hate the cold. Skiing/riding with your kids has to be the best.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

My wife hates the winters with a passion. 'Rats ass', is her rating of winter on the scale of zero to 10. I'm sure that rating falls into the negatives somewhere. Everyone else in the family grew up with it. Growing up next to a ski hill didn't hurt. We all worked there for passes. Kept us sane during the long winter months. Better than sane, we thrived. And now we have found mountain biking. Can't wait for trails to open up.

Watched adult leave the nest, fly about a quarter mile, dive, capture, bring back to nest and fed to chick. Devoured it!! Wow.

That really made for a fun morning. Hadn't done much of anything but work since getting back from the southern jaunt.
Needed a day off to regroup and unwind.
I've seen plenty of Baldies in passing but rarely get to hang and inspect so close. Really awesome and big as you'd imagine. Beautiful rich colors on them too. With the stunning Snake river in the background.

Maybe sans the wakenbake tho. The approach trail is not for the weak.

Tate and I climbed down to the lower observation ledge yesterday. Spent a few hours kicked back, sipped a couple of cold ones, talked shit and had a grand old time. Jr is growing fast.

I let my boys do most of the heavy work firewood gathering yesterday. I can tell that I am slowing down. Spent much of the morning herding grandchildren....and taking photos. Was a very good day.
