Wow, thanks man. Glad you had a look. Thread been going for a while and I feel grateful, it is TGR after all. Yeah elk, the scenery.... just wow. As I dropped off Togwotee at daybreak the amazing view was well, indescribable. I kept whispering to my self 'wow' over and over. The fog, clouds, cold and towering frozen peaks. The trees, the forests of evergreens with aspen and cottonwood interspersed, sometimes close, sometimes far. Covering distant mountain slopes. The nearby sagebrush ravaged by the constant wind. The cold. All these things and more, all together these things are incredibility beautiful. To the point of being absolutely and unequivocally, perfect. To understand and witness. To partake. I hope everyone regularly experiences this. These are places that I can go back to.....in my memories.

...anyway.....blah, blah, blah. Continued down the canyon, opting not to race somebody up the Teton Pass....geeze guys. The longer route taking me by my childhood haunts, Alpine to Ririe, Palisades in particular. Nice drive, little traffic. Plenty to look at.



Love found me right at my doorstep....

Was it fun? Off the charts. Snow was good, but I have seen better, but it was the company I was with that made it an incredible day.

Been home a few days from Douglas. Been out hunting elk for a few days, Wed/Thur/Fri. Unsuccessful, but trip(s) with Trent rewarding. Very cold.



Saw this at sunrise one morning.


Did see hundreds of elk, but they are very savy to boundary edges. Very.

It has been too cold to go snowboarding. I have had enough of cold while working in Wyoming. I'll wait till it warms up.

left my other camera at home and went snowboarding for the afternoon yesterday. Flat light was a nuisance, stayed near the trees and took advantage of the almost deserted hill. Freshly groomed from top to bottom on my favorite run, I let off the brakes. Flew with my arms out like wings here and there.....as the terrain warranted. It was good. Real good.

Hey thanks! We'll have to talk about that "money and other fine things" shortly, as I have again lost employment due to the down turn in the oil industry.

Hit Targhee yesterday after being sick as shit for a week. Wasn't feeling all that great but was not going to pass up the chance, as you know, it's been snowing. Hard. So I toughed it out.

Left the camera in the car cuz' damn, it was just snowing too hard to take any shots.

Thanks! I hit a tree with the back toe side of my board up to Big Sky a few years ago. Smashed it in a bit. I love this K2, has risers on it. Keeps my toes from dragging on hard turns. Did the best I could do to straighten it out, epoxied the shit out of it, drilled and inserted flat-head bolts, and used a grinder to flatten nuts. Worked like a charm, no noticeable drag. Have not used the split this year...yet. Conditions have not been conducive for BC travel.....

wow : I can 'bookend' 'em with his Europa77s (1976) ...

I could never get him sold on AT.
... gave him a pair of (Atomic) Superlights w/ Fritschis,,, nineteen years ago.
They were Too light and squirrelly: He took one run on 'em. and went back to the (K2) Xplorers.
