Unhappy Thank you for your kindness - Liesl did not make it. She is missed.

She was never going to walk again. We tried to hold out hope. We said goodbye on Saturday as a family.

I cannot type right now because the tears are starting to flow pretty bigtime again.

I have all the poems and have been reading stuff at www.petloss.com. People have been unbelievable - I have had calls from clients, neighbors, friends. Everyone has been so sweet.

This seems like it's been an especially tough year - I hope that my life doesn't get any harder too soon because it seems awfully hard right now.

Thank you for indulging a dedicated thread for her.

Liesl, I hope all the poems are true and that you are somewhere, happy, right now. You know I loved you so and wish that I had many more years with you.

You were one of the greatest dogs to ever live - I'm sorry you had to experience such pain.

I'm so sorry for your loss. This whole thing sounds like just about the hardest way to lose a family member. I hope you and your family pull through all right.

I'm so sorry bud... remember all the fun times you had with her, and be assured that you gave her the best life a dog could have while she was with you.

Very sorry, KS. Hopefully, you and your family can take some solace in knowing that you did everything you could, and made the tough decision because it was the best thing for Liesl.

KS- Remember the terrific times that you had together, because those are what she is remembering. Your life was touched by something amazing, making it more complete than most peoples. You owe it to her and to yourself to keep your chin up, smile and be thankful.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Liesl.
As others have said be sure to think of all of the great times you and your family were blessed to share with her.
I bet Liesl and Dana are having a great time running around and enjoying their new friendship as I type this.
    Hang in there.

So sorry to hear that, I really can't imagine how hard this must be, I've had one dog for 13 years, and I really don't know what I'd do without her.

She was a gorgeous dog, and the world is worse off without her.
