    Unhappy Withdrawels kicking in hard

5 months till the lifts open, and I didn't win the lotto so no SA trip. Warren Miller TV even has me stoked. I stand next to the freezer with the door open and fantasize about skiing boiler plate even. I got it bad. Really bad

Yeah, I passed a Snowcone stand on my way to work the other day and blurted out, "change for a nickel'!!! Some guy ran over to my car and squee-geed the windshield....

quelled the jones myself today at A-basin. Soupy, slushy, but it was fast and fun for a few hours. That'll have to hold me till July 4th at Hood.

I skied today, a few hours at Whistler in the slush. It was kinda cold in the alpine, frozen pellets coming down when the sun wasn't out, fog drifting in and out. Yeah, fun indeed. Warmer in the Village, Hard lemonade, mushroom swiss burger, somewhat scantily clad women (the ones not in full bike body armor that is), and so much more! While the snow and skiing itself wasn't all that great, just getting out of town and into the mountains was the main thing. Wonder how the Chinook Pass contingent made out
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!

I was out hiking the other day and I kept thinking about how good the tree skiing would be if only it had snow,....and was on a slope,...and I had skis. Just thinking about it was getting me excited. It was a hot day too.

today I had ski movie marathon and even though I skied yesterday I'm just getting hit real bad by the idea that it's gonna be next season before I ski pow again. The last two weekends have gotten me into skiing mode. The whole thing is really bumming me out. hopefully I can get through finals as quick as possible and pray for some freak storm for the beartooths when I get there.

The last time you went skiing was five days ago. Some of us have already been 2+ months. Quit your bitching.

Do you find yourself "mogul training" when you're going downhill hiking? Cause I do it all the time. Knees together in perfect Stein Erickson form and just hop turns downhill for 10 or 20 minutes at a time absorbing the impact with my quads. Everybody just looks at me like I'm nuts, especially when I have my 40 pound pack, but it feeds my stoke

Backcountry, buddy. I skied yesterday. Yes, I had to hike for 3.5 miles with my skis and boots on my back, and then skin up crappy stuff in tight trees, but we got to that bowl from the summit and the mountain, and after some more skinning and a boot pack, we got sum.

It's all about being motivated and willing.

Ohm'gosh!! Legoskier and I are not the only freaks. We were doing exactly this on our hike out in Mammoth Lakes two weekends ago. Phew.....not the only freaks

Oh, I love that comment about how the icy frozen food section brings a tear to the eye, bwahaha!

I'd like to share the fact that I'll be skiing in two weekends at Lassen. Mmmmm, can't wait. And then, at the Hood mini.

Naw the Chics had a bad snow year. It went fast. Well that was the way the whole winter was here in Quebec. Last summer my apple trees didn't have any blossums on them, and very little fruit. That means for a mild winter. Well my apple trees are full of blossums, so it looks like we might have the kind of winter we had 2 years ago.

Other than that I put my rollarblades on this morning, grabbed my ski poles and did laps up and down this road on a hill by my house. People thought I was nuts, and I even got the finger. I didn't care. It made me smile
