in 2004 I had arthroscopic surgery to repair my right shoulder. I still have pitting on the head of the humerus, and I believe the surgeon removed the bone chunks that were floating around in my joint.
I've had few problems with my shoulder other than an episode of muscle spasm which my PT solved. Last night I dislocated it again. Luckily I managed to get it back in myself and continue on with my night.
With all my past dislocations I've had to go to the ER to get my shoulder put back where it belongs. This involved x-rays before and after and a sling for several weeks, and a pain prescription (which I've never needed)
Right now I've got a limited range of motion and sort of a dull ache and a bit of swelling. I won't be able to ride my bike to work tomorrow. Internal/external rotation is pretty good with no pain, but lifting my arm out to the side or up isn't really possible.
A good friend's girlfriend is a (super hot) nurse and she told me something about an x-ray last night but I was too busy staring at her magnificent man-made mammaries to pay attention.
Should I see a physiotherapist? Should I see a doctor first? Get an X-ray? Is it ok to leave it and see what happens?
Thanks for any input.
