    Weekend Stillwater-TR

Took some buddies (on who has gone through multiple rounds of chemo treatments in the last 4 years for cancer) to 6 Lakes in Altamont, UT this weekend. A few pics from the ponds...

Reggie holding up a Duck Lake hybrid. His first trip in a year, after numerous surgeries, chemo, and radiation treatments. Darn good to see him able to get back to fishing again. He spent many years as a guide in Utah, involved heavily with TU, and more recently with Reel Recovery

Little open water just to the Daniel's side at the Ladders on Sunday. More out in front of the state buildings on the road from HWY 40 to the marina. Few soft edge spots showing. I imagine this next storm will rile up the ice and creat some fishable spots.

I'd like to go to the Green, but used up my hall pass for a bit last weekend. We should pick a time to floatilla the b/c sections...I've never rowed them. Maybe next Aug/Sept, when I get back from AK. My time till then is pretty tight.

I picked mine up off the UTOF site for $150. They don't make the Escalade anymore, but thats the model. Frameless is the way to go for travel. Been using the Watermaster (olive raft looking boat) for 12 years. They still run used $400-$600, but the Scadden you can find deals on. That Escalade is the sheeyat for running small river and dogding rocks in the boulder gardens. Just doesn't carry as much as the Watermaster for overnighters.

By lake trout, do you mean actual lake trout (mackinaw) or do you mean just trout that live in lakes? Because it didn't look like any of the trout in the pictures were lake trout (mackinaw).
