How come we can't change the display title of a thread? If you edit it, it only changes within the thread, but not on the actual title!

I've noticed that you can correct spelling errors in the subject line but you cannot delete entire words. At least I was able to change "of" to "for" last week.

Hmm - I don't know. I'll put that on my list of things to look into. This forum is great, but it's kinda buggy. The way I see it, there is about six months of little shit to tweek. The madening thing is the problems that users are encountering aren't consistent. It's kind of like that intermittent knocking sound in your car that disappears when you actually get it in front of a mechanic.
