    MPC#15:Altered April 29-May 13 2008

    MPC#15: Altered April 29-May 13 2008
Contest ends Tuesday May 13 2008.

    The Rules:

    1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.

    2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.

    3. The contest moderator will choose 5 of the photos to put in a poll for the mags to vote on and decide the winner.

    4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way not an option)

    5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.

    6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.

    Theme: Altered
Almost everyone has some form of photo editor-darkroom installed on the confusor for dealing with digital photos. I find the ability to alter the digital file fascinating. Hopefully others do, too.
    Examples:
Black and White (Color to b and w)

    White Balance (auto to tungsten)

    Blending (two photos together)

    Manipulation

Been reading some of the other threads about HDR and stacking. Contest is open for those options, also.

If anybody is lacking software for this, fire me a PM and I might be able to help out, bandwidth depending.

If my mother is reading this it is, of course, totally legal as I would never do anything like breaking the rules....

From a video installation project I am working on.

Some minor levels adjustments and colors inverted, no other post processing.

    Surforama painting style.

The birthplace of Patagonia aged out, removed a park bench, a building and some chicks lunch with my painstaking detail work!

I keep thinking of renting a kayak in Ventura and trying to ferry it out there then camp for the weekend and explore. Pics are great, looks like a good trip!

Packers will haul it out for you no problem. Anacapa is doable even as a day trip, as it's exposed and small; multiple days there especially with crap weather can get old quickly. For a few days SCI can be more fun as you have more options for hikes, paddles, etc.

    Nice pics Kuba.
