This year it happened for me. I finally realized it. Skiing was always my number one, and I would fish just until I could ski again. But not anymore. I am completely and utterly addicted now.
How is it for you, and when did you know it?
I ski just until I can fish again (fishing is more important to me)
Fishing is just what I do in the summer when I can't ski (skiing is more important)
I like them both the same (one is not more important to me than the other)
I only ski and I am visiting the fishing forum out of boredom.

I suck at skiing at least I'm mediocre at fishing, so I spend a lot of time fishing
Its not that I suck at spelling, its that I just don't care
I've always known fishing was embedded deeper in my soul. I was fishing, or holding fake plastic rods fishing for whales in rain puddles with plastic hoops before I first went skiing and it was always more accessable during the summer than skiing was during the winter.
When I'm doing either however I never wish I was doing the other.
...And the greatest ice must crumble when it's flower's time to grow.
It's fishing all the way for me! The only time my focus is entirely on skiing is in December and January. By Feb. all I can think of is wetting a line. I still ski in Nov. and in spring, until the snow is gone but only as a break from slinging the fly line.
I said I was "bored" in the poll, but I wouldn't say that's accurate.
I'm more a fan of cooking the feeshes than catching them.![]()
Spring and Fall can be such difficult times. Do I fish or ski today? So 50-50 for me. I crave fishing in the winter and skiing in the summer.
I think if I lived closer to decent skiing they would be equal, but I have to say fishing is the bigger priority right now.
Looking California, feeling Minnesota.
I have fished all my life, grew up at a flyfishing lodge, and have worked there every summer since I was old enough to hold my own. Fishing is a way of life and I love it. Skiing is a passion that keeps me up at night when I can't be doing it. I'd say they are too different to weigh on the same scale
My option isn't on that poll. I only fish to eat. As soon as the alpine lakes thaw I fish. We go backpacking every weekend in the summer and I love me some fresh trout after a long day of packin'.
