I was thinking about going to southern cal this summer to hit some skate and surf. I have relatives in long beach but if anyone knows any other cool info I'd love to hear it.

most of the swells that come in during summer come up from down south, so find a south facing beach/point break and you should be set.
long beach is close to bolsa chica, which i hear is quite popular.fine
