Love the college women's softball coverage. Where else would I see stuff like that?

Most likely during a recap of Curt Schilling and the BoSox' epic WS run for one.
I still call it The Jake.
They're gonna miss Tirico. He'll be great on Thursday Night Football tho.
I was watching Bloomberg a few hours ago, and Disney was the subject. ESPN is a major revenue component of that company, so the whole cable cutting phenomenon could hurt Disney big time if it picks up. Anyway, the analyst brought up something simple. ESPN is the most expensive product for cable companies to carry. The cost is 6 bucks a subscriber, every subscriber on the system. So, that's how much you're paying for that shit, even if you could give a fuck about sports at all. Only watch baseball? You're paying for college football, 12 month a year pro football coverage, NBA contracts, and all of that talk bullshit.
I don't think that most of America even has a hint about this scam. But, they're paying for it.
What is up with all the pregnant chicks ? I mean let's not kid ourselves, today's sports is as much about celebrity, style and fashion as it is the actual sport today; so you would think a "sports" channel would want to be putting out hot anchor chicks; not preggos; but espn is so in your face that they are supporting every social clause out there; that they have chosen to make watching their primary show, sportscenter; a turn off.
if fox sports can ever get its act together, it is going to start taking away viewers from espn in record numbers. I mean, dumping schilling while keeping the rich hot stuck up tirade blonde, having women announcers on every game outside a national championship, covering subjects like social justice many shows other than OTL; there's probably 20 channels that you can get all the social and politics that you want; sports is escapism for many men from all that and espn is just sending viewers away to make itself feel better.
well, guess what espn, I have a remote, there are 300 channels on my system and about 1 million books published every year; I got other things I can do if you want to keep it up.

TMZspn is the fucking worst. Watching LA-PIT Sunday Night Baseball and McCutcheon gets tossed - PIT manager comes out and they're all getting heated at the plate. What does ESPN do? Cut to commercial.
COME ON!?!?!

He was legit too. Those two pitches were low.
Exactly. Both teams were arguing the zone tonight. I just wanted to see the damn fireworks.

How about their new thing... "As confirmed by ESPN"
Are those fuckers so insecure about their reporting that they have to put their name on everything? Man, fuck ESPN.
What the fuck. Yankees/Red Sox, and there's three in the booth. The lame professional talking head dude, forgot his name, he's OK, if super clichéd and bland. Aaron Boone, or, as Boston residents know him, Fucking Aaron Boone. Squeaky voice, not super insightful, but, not offensive, either. But, this is a first. Instead of putting the babe in the seats to do some stupid babe thing in the fourth and seventh inning or whenever, she's in the booth with aforementioned dudes. Her name is Jessica something of other. And she's barely had a thing to say! Who did this? Ken Burns?
I think we covered that a few pages ago Benny that despite being all for equality and women folk, she just doesn't bring anything to the booth. We were roundly called mysogynists and given a copy of Hard Choices to read as penance.
Curly hair weirdo guy annoys me for some reason on baseball tonight. I don't know why but he is horrible. No personality, seems uncomfortable in front of the camera. MLB network is so much better these days. Can't wait till Kurkjian and Olney make the jump.

Baseball Tonight is just one big shout fest. Why, oh why, do they find it necessary to shout like that?
As far as her, I don't get it. What's her credentials? What is she supposed to bring? All I want is a pro, and two ex players. There's like a hundred ex players that would do it for probably little pay just to have something to do and get their name out there. Why her, when there is already a non player in the booth? I know, I know, there's a female market out there. I just don't see this increasing that market. She at least has to say something. Anything. To start.
I thought schilling was great in the booth
Decisions Decisions
I did too. Politics like anything else killed his career there. And I typically can't stand a Boston or New York guy. Boone is likeable to me but maybe that's just because I've always found him funny since his days in Cincy.
TMZspn has some good talent at times they just can't get out of their own way these days. MLB network is just so much better.

in fairness, I think she was a good college player and could most likely strike out anyone on this board with ease; but it still doesn't make her good in the booth; but this is what espn has been for years. they have a woman calling college football games every Saturday on the second fiddle games.
I would bet if they polled and studied they'd find women announcers turn off more than they bring in for mens games.

Oh, OK, bring on the transgender college badminton players to do some play by play, please. Is that better, little triggered snowflake?
I was at a bar yesterday and ESPN U was airing collegiate video gaming. Something called DOTA.
"One season per year, the gods open the skies, and releases a white, fluffy, pillow on top of the most forbidding mountain landscapes, allowing people to travel over them with ease and relative abandonment of concern for safety. It's incredible."
How the hell is Stephen A. Smith still employed?
Next to Mike Francesa he might be the most intolerable sports host in the history of intolerable sports hosts.
"timberridge is terminally vapid" -- a fortune cookie in Yueyang
And lucky for us, ESPN paired him with the trifecta of suck, Skip Bayless.
On SC this morning, they were debating the white robe Carmelo Anthony wore in Brazil. Seriously.
Curt Schilling is hinting that he'll run for senator in Mass. In '08. Lovely.
Someone did a quick study on how bad Stephen A's predictions and hot takes are. He's something like 0-fer in the last 4 years of major sports championships. And he yells about how sure he is when he does it.
See this year's NBA finals predictions as an example. Night after night of loud yelling and wrong predictions.
A coin flip has a better success rate than that douchebag.
