Man it was a good time. I'm hooked on this tying thing... next class is Wednesday evening.

get ready to spend more money! and its lots of small stuff over time so you hardly notice it![]()
Its not that I suck at spelling, its that I just don't care
You're not kiddin'! I have shit from 10+ years ago laying around all over my fly tying gear. Half of it I don't even remember when or why I bought it. A good chunk I can't even identify. My recommendation is to keep it as simple as possible. Have fun.
Oh, where are the pics of your first wooly bugger? That's usually the first fly.
My class starts in 3 1/2 hours, and I still have 2 hours of work left. All I want to do is tie flies.
does the class fee include all the materials and supplies to get started? i'm really interested in tying my own, particularly since a good buddy does it and he's a complete stoner and slays 'em on his flies.
Yep - they provide all the hooks, thread, materials, etc. They also provide tools and a vise to use, but I bring my own tools and vise. It was something like $40 for two class sessions, each being 2 1/2 hours long, so basically 5 hours of instruction. Obviously I also get to keep the flies I tie in the class as well. It is taught by a local guide/tyer, so he is having us tie patterns that apply to our local water, which is also a plus. It is alotta fun.
that's a helluva deal, feathers and stuff aren't cheap.
looking forward to your fishing TR featuring a nice cuthroat with one of your nymph patterns in his lip.
