It really amuses me how you need a button to ignore someone. I just ignore AJ. Nathan is a tool, but I think that's the point.

Jer and Nanuq pretty much kick ass as far as I am concerned.

Besides this place would be pretty boring without the goofiness.

I dont see how you could like any of these people. They never talk about skiing, never post anything of value, never hook anyone up with anything, they just fill this place up with inane arguing about nothing. I come here for stoke, technical info, to buy and sell gear, and to keep in touch with skiers I know, and maybe meet some new ones.

Nanuq and the rest are NOT part of this community. They contribute nothing of value. Sure, sometimes their debates are about semi interesting topics, but not as interesting to me as skiing. I just wish having them on ignore would make it so I didn't have to see any of the pointless threads they've started.

They're probably all the same person though. Probably jon pierre. If it was up to me, I'd ban them all, just because.

Ok, just for arguments sake, why does one HAVE to post in the skiing forum to be part of the community here? I mean I rarely post in the skiing forum. Would you say the same about me? I mean why do we have all the other areas if this place is TOTALLY about skiing?

Not saying I'm right/you're wrong, and I'm not saying there aren't folks that come here just to lob hand grenades, I'm just saying that requirements for "membership" might mean different things to different people...

There are no requirements for membership. It is a strange and odd process involving many many interesting processes which only the great ones know about. I dunno, I'd consider alot of the smaller name guys part of the community, probably even more so than the really high posters (some of these guys never post) because I know them personally, have hung out with them, have drank with them etc. But, that is the great part about it. You don't have to be a part of the "group" to find really cool people to run around with.
