resort expansion?

"JHMR officails are consideroing a 600-acre expansion of the ski area's USFS permit."
"The expansion would link terrain in COdy Bowl, already under permit to the land the area owns at the bottom of Rock Springs."
"...does not include an increase in the number of allowed skier days."
"the resort may rebuild a lift in the Cody Bowl area, which existed in the past."
"The resort also might build a lift in the bottom of Rock Springs that transports skiers back to the base resort."

Sorry for that, but the more i sit here and think about the more i hate it. It was already a bumpfield when it was ob, and this will extend the bumps over to No Name now.

Sorry Jiff. This does sound like terrible news. Cody Bowl is so easily accesible now, I don't really see what JHMR is going to gain out of this, especially if they're not increasing allowable skier days. Just one less spot to schralp the powpow in JH away from (some of) the crowds...

Cody and Rock Springs are really easy to get to, but you have to know what your doing. It is kind of nice to be able to hike out, be somewhat in alone, and get some fresh tracks, then back inbounds.

Bummer...
