Phil, Yanks Sox in Fenway tonight- catch some of it before/after dinner.

And dont bother to try and find a parking spot in the North End. Valet, or one of the parking lots on Commercial St.

EDIT- I figured 3 cities in MA...Springfield, Worcester, Boston. 2 of them suck...Brockton is a big town...Lynn too. Brockton sucks, only driven through Lynn.

I'm a good Catholic boy who attended Holy Cross and I can't believe how many people on this board know about Worcester. Leitrim's was our place senior year since we lived downtown and were sick of H.C. bars. But Danny T. Murphy's - wow - my band played there every weekend '93-'94. Good stuff. Don't know if the Firehouse Cafe is still there but that seemed like a good spot.

Wanna get in a fight? McGuire's, Joe D's, or under the bridge at Rotman's Furniture at 1am on any given night. Just don't head up to Caro St. expecting a free cup.

Wachusett has some good hiking trails if you can't ski. If you've got your bike, then you have to check out Leominster State Forest and Vietnam.
People shooting ski areas should be sued.

But "Worcester is good cause its near Douglas" is the worst shit ive ever heard, no offense. Awesome...its near Boylston, Oxford, Shrewsbury too...whoopie.

Douglas/Framingham/Northhampton/etc- anywhere else mentiond in this thread is a town with EC town charm or something. Worcester has none of this. Its beat.

There are 3 cities in Mass. 2 suck. Everything else is a town.
Framingham has charm? What? I like Worcester 'cause it's real, and because a lot of my family comes from there, and because I've had a lot of fun there. It's my opinion, I'm entitled to it. Yours is different, okayfine.

Lowell, Lawrence, Haverhill, Brockton, Taunton, Fall River, New Bedford, Pittsfield, Springfield, Chicopee, Leominster, Fitchburg, Gardner, Holyoke, Quincy, Chelsea, Somerville, Saugus, all of them are officially "Cities" and all of them are worse than Worcester imo. Sure some of them are actually just big towns but damn they all suck in their own ways.

Why the Worcester hate? It's the "second city of the commonwealth", it's not that bad.

edit: And I will never forget the six Worcester firefighters who died on 12/3/99 charging into that blazing warehouse trying to save the homeless couple who had already run away. They had heart. And so does Worcester. In my very humble fucking opinion.

Good gosh I hate Worcester, It was my first national guard station (skyline drive) 319 Whoo!
It used to be the second largest city in N E when I was there.

Sounds like they've really put the trimmings on the place since then (not).

It's probably still better than Fitchburg.

Not being there for 15 years, I knowit's better than Fitchburg.
