ATTN AK Mags, HOW TO GET TO ALYESKA

Hey AK MAGS,
I'm travelling to Anchorage on Wed night for a meeting on Thursday April 10th and have pursuaded my employer to let me stay an extra day so I can ski Alyeska on Friday April 11th and get plane back to Seattle on Friday night.

Are there any buses or public transportation from Anchorage to the resort as I can't afford to rent a car for the day.

OR is there anybody sking Alyeska on Friday willing to give me a ride from my hotel to Alyeska and back??

I don't know if the peter glenn ski bus goes on fridays but I do know that a limo to the resort is only like $10 more expensive than a cab. Or you could hitchhike, that works pretty well up here.

try posting on ak craigslist under rideshare, or over on t-tips ak conditions thread. if your hotel has a shuttle, get dropped off at potters marsh on the south end of town and hitch hiking w/your skis/board should be easy around 9 am, rides back from gwood via thumb should be no problem at all, just hitch by the tosoro station. good luck , have fun, absolutely do NOT go to the Bush co.
