The Navy doesn't know which end of the gun bullets come out of of. Well they do, they just not which end of the scope to use.

^This is the Navy's attempt at disinformation to save face and pretend they didn't really have a bunch people too dumb to notice an officer can't use an optic and everybody next to him didn't notice either.

I have 3 more huge pictures proving it but this URL only crap sucks, so I'm not posting them.

According to a dude I know who does media production for tactical manufacturers, military videos, cinema, etc, it was photoshopped. But still incredibly embarrassing.

I've only deer hunted a couple of times and never took a shot, but carrying the old model 94 in the woods somehow felt "right".

Showing up to shoot sporting clays or skeet with an old oft carried field grade model 12 always got the old timers' attention. If you shoot it well, it gets lots of attention form the German and Italian O/U crowd as well as the strange to me $3000 fancy semi-auto crowd.

Have fun shooting that rifle. It is a fun gun to shoot.

This. My first shotgun was a retired police Model 12 with fixed choke. My mom bought it for me from a used gun shop...awfully large shotgun for a 12 year old but hey, I still have it and I learned to hunt with that pig. They're truly great guns.

Pretty rare weapon. Ton of work went into it.

    Fantastic machining.

I need one to shoot ground hogs.

    P220 in 10mm.

    It is my hog hammer.
Basically, wanted one gun to rule them all. Told the shop I wanted to be able to take out ANYTHING that might be hunting me.
I am more of a rifle and shotgun fan. Never hade much use for handguns, but hunting anything in FL puts you in hog country, and those things can mess you up.
10mm will stop them dead in their tracks.

Never heard it called 1 CM, but yeah- 10mm- the original .40
Here is an interesting history on the 10mm. Cool FL connection here.

I had a S&W 1006 for awhile. It was kind of ridiculous, built like a battleship it was too heavy to carry, but still fun to shoot. It was a big hit at evening shoots, loaded hot with Blue Dot, it would light off pumpkin sized balls of flame when you pulled the trigger. People literally had a blast shooting it.

Kind of a 1cm whore, I own 4. Curios to hear how that 220 runs with various ammo and if it needs any tweaking. I'd love to own one some day. Sounds like the Xten's, like a lot of new 10mm, were fraught with reliability issues at launch. Kind of nature of the beast when you can run such a wide variety of rounds in the same caliber I suppose.

Anybody here know anything about Sharps Rifles? I inherited one and believe it is a model 1874. Cannot find a serial number or any other stamping, other than a C. Sharps Pat. 1848 stamp. No clue on what caliber it is. Double trigger, checkered pistol grip stock and cheek rest on the stock.

Going to get these for the range, and then figure out what hunting load works best.

Thinking Hornady 180 grain. I love those in my rifles, so that will be my first try.

I've got a couple of 10mm's. A S&W 1076 and a Springfield 6" 1911 Operator. The 1076 is a "compact" variant before that was a thing and is a handful. I haven't fired the Springfield yet, but it is a heavy beast.

Always wanted a 2011 in 10mm. Just haven't stumbled into one.

Send that puppy to Turnbull for a workover. If you decide you don't need it in your quiver, yell. Beautiful piece.
