America will stay safe knowing very few of those ugly things will ever be sold.

Picked up two over under shotguns over the weekend. The first was a pretty good deal, 12 gauge Rottweil made by Gamba in Italy. Both barrels have what looks like aftermarket Briley chokes in skeet bore. I sent one of the tubes back to Briley to get a few more tubes made so I can shoot trap and hunt pheasants with it. The second is another Italian gun, a Franchi field gun. Picked it up second hand but it’s never been fired. Instinct SL is the model. Got a quick trip out to the desert planned to shoot birds and needed a gun while I wait for these choke tubes. Excited to get both guns out to the trap club soon.

    Romy G with original barrel.

It turned out nice and fairly accurate to how it was issued. These were semi auto only and handed out to Guard units. Similar to our National Guard.

Last night I attended a mandatory orientation to join our local range. I had no idea, seeing as I couldn't get in before joining, but this place must be a glorious shooting heaven. Over 600 acres of different ranges. Wood burning stoves at a lot of stations. No supervision, join and scan your card when you want to shoot. I can't wait to check it out.

You clearly didn’t read the link you posted. One parent is required to be there the first session to sign the waiver, then one parent can serve as the qualified adult for several kids.

Seems you’re trying to throw shade at youth shooting sports or parental alcohol use or both?

This facility has an incredible safety record btw. Only fatal incident I’ve heard of involved a fire while attempting to fire munitions from an antique tank. That seems pretty easy to qualify as user error to me.

Thanks for clarifying. I've got nothing against kids learning firearms safety. I've been a shooter all my life. Since before the gun culture went batshit crazy.

I don’t know the specifics. Clearly it didn’t work out as intended considering the tank set fire.

Cleaned the ski quiver up and now I’m now cleaning the gun safe up. Pretty much switched all semi-auto rifles to an LPVO.

I have an extra EOTech EXPS2-2 knocking around the safe that I’d like to get rid of. No box but 300 plus ship to the lower 48 if any mag is interested.

Idk if I can do this here, if not I’ll edit and have this comment deleted. Click image for larger version.

Don’t know how that turned out
80 year old cases that have been used a ton.
At least 8 extra oz of powder.
Multiple shots being fired that day.
Projectiles that may have been way too heavy.
A breech that was demilled and rewelded but not magna fluxed.
A 22 year old novice loading the gun.
They didn't even bother to use a chicken switch.
What could have could have gone wrong?

There was a guy with a license there that day but he didn't have the nuts to take the football and go home.

I'm interested. I've had good luck with mine.

Bought a sight pusher after ruining a set of night sights. It’s solid and picked it up cheap off of Amazon, right tool for the right job. Briley finally kicked those custom chokes out for my shotgun early this week, so I’ll be doing some shooting next week!

Fishing north the arctic circle of the Northern Territories of Canada we saw and were confronted with black bears constantly. With no access to firearms of any kind or even bear spray, we used two trash can lids to scare them off.

The great part about the sun never going down is, they couldn't sneak up on you in the dark. That and one of you is always awake.
