I second this. Plastic stocks suck. I would do this at minimum but personally would upgrade to a McMillan or something similar that is a step above Bell & Carlson. In my experience high quality stocks reduce felt recoil and that makes it easier to shoot well.

Agreed. Got a Manners and it's night and day in both balance and felt recoil. With accurate rifles being as cheap as they are now, an upgraded stock should be considered by any serious hunter or shooter after optics are purchased. Had a B&C on my old .308 and I wasn't that impressed by it...barely better than the one that came on it. Manners or McMillan are both serious upgrades to any rifle.

You can still have a happy switch, do the paper work, pay for the stamp, buy the weapon and your gtg.

I would like to see the import bans go bye bye which is a lot stronger possibility. USA reciprocity carry could happen as well. Ban on active duty carry on base needs to go away. Few other items have a chance.

So, 85% of my neighbors in the 200 house development that I live in voted for Trump and most are heavily armed. Pretty sure I was seen with my Bernie hat on while mowing the lawn and for sure someone heard me dissing the hitler trump. What would you guys suggest I get that is light and cheap and will pump out the most damage quickest cause I'm not a great shot and won't practice much. A FB friend doomsday prepper retired Alabama cop with PTSD advised this:

"One gun is better than none but to be better prepared to protect your family 4 will cover all the possible senerios. Many will argue no matter what but these are my picks. Glock 9mm, rifles- 22 auto & Ruger mini 14, Shotgun-Remington 870 with Rifle sights, get what you can. Get a good supply of ammo because if things happen it also makes good bartering material. I would be happy to give info on types ammo and imfo of where to get 30 year food at good prices. If you were to just pick one, I would suggest the shotgun with rifle sights because you could use slugs that could act as a rifle also. I have more if you are interested.'

I'm not interested in long standoffs and I already have a Stevens Little Scout with a 14 1/2 barrel for any Coup de grâce needed so what say you on the sighted shotgun? 20 ga.? Cheap ones to stay away from? Hot deals?
