Should be an interesting Social Experiment. I am looking forward to the data 2 years down the road. It will be interesting to see if this leads to an increase in shootings, as it is human nature to get pissed off at times and if your packing, well you may just decide to use it. But we will see.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.
I made this Glock up for my 50th birthday. It started as a police trade in G22 so I didn't have a lot into it to start with. Mods include.
ATEI full top and side scallops with a nickel boron refinish.
Stipppling and profiling grip by Damato Custom.
Zev Tech Ultimate Fulcrum Trigger.
9MM conversion barrel by storm lake.
Tungsten guide rod.
Extended mag release by JP.
TruGlo TFO sights.
Titainum pins and some other stuff I'm forgetting about. I really like the way it shoots and feels compared to a stock G17. Click on the pics for detail. S/N has been altered in pics.

I've been looking at lever guns lately. I was leaning towards a Henry big boy in 45-70, but then I got a look at the stainless Marlin 1895 SBL, and fondled one at cabelas, and was sold.
Anyone been around one? There seem to have been some poor reviews in the first couple years of production, sounds like there were some QA/QC problems piecing everything toggether. The few more reviews I have heard from the last couple years haven't had those problems.

You and Gaston are - toight - to quote Goldmember. And John Moses's design from 1911 still survives!! Makes it about 103 years strong.
I have the ultimate of all function guns, a Walther PPKS in the unstoppable .380 caliber.
I have a 19 and 17, but still like about anything else better. Traded two race tickets to the Bristol night race a while back for the new 19 with 4 mags!!! This was obviously before NASCAR and the Bristol race went to shit.

Anyone have experience with the CZ P07?
Don't pay too much. Excellent condition used ones are running about $300 on the net sites. Apparently a decent little gun, but entry level semi auto for S&W.

Thanks - I didn't pay too much. I got the pistol, 3x15 rd mags, a couple of boxes of ammo, and a holster in exchange for my beat up benelli entry level 12 ga (forget what it's called - never even got the extended tube for it, just a 2+1) and a couple of boxes of target loads. Just put about 50 rounds through the 915 last night. I like it.
Cool. S&W has good customer support if it goes astray. Sounds like you did well on the trade.
Two guns I regret selling. My MG-42. The other was a 945 from the Custom Shop. Similar in design. I was shooting IDPA and because it was a single stack and only held 8 plus 1, I had a 2 round handicap on the other stock service pistols. Decided to sell it, and regretted it ever since.

This was her. A 1964 German Rheinmetal imported by Colt. Factory .308 with a heavy Italian bolt option to slow it down. Very rare gun, one of about 7 or 8 transferrable guns like it in the country that was post war time.
This particular day was Earth Day about 6 or 7 years ago. Apparently I failed to get a tracer out of the belts and managed to start a fire down range. Burned about 4 or 5 acres before we got it out.

^^^ Sooo sweet!
Anyhow, don't know how many of you have followed the thread in Ski/Snowboard about the kid who fell up by Mt Washington and lost his Beretta, but it inspired me to post a pic of my newest. After Easter dinner on Sunday my Dad brought me into his den to show me a 16ga Model 12 that was my grandfathers bird gun & that he just had fully restored by Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing. They did an amazing job - it looks brand new. Anyhow, he had a couple of things for me too. A pre 64 (1958) Model 70 in .270 and a 1986 Beretta 92F. The .270 has never been fired, and based on his recollection the 9mm *might* have a hundred rounds thru it. I have to go back this weekend with a case to grab the model 70, but I did bring the 92F home:
She's a beaut. Not sure if it's worth the hassle of having a smith convert it to an FS. I have a 92FS/M9 and the only issue I ever had was a bent ejector (after being slammed on a rock) that caused stovepipes every few rounds until I figured out what was wrong and bent the ejector back (and later replaced). I've been told the reason a bunch of slides broke during .mil testing in the 80's is because they ran 20k+ rounds of overpressure sub machine gun 9x19 (roughly equivalent to 9mm +P++++++++++) thru them in a torture test to failure, and indeed some failed after 20k+ rounds of over overpressure ammo. Anyone know this information to be incorrect, and think I'm running some kind of risk of catching a slide to the face? The conversion job is < $100 but I'd have to ship it out of state to get it in the hands of the most qualified gunsmith for the job and don't really feel like dealing with the hassle.
Trapshooting is the fastest growing high school sport in Minnesota. Who knew?

Awesome. I'm starting to get back into shotgunning a bit. There is a pretty decent crew of guys at one of the clubs I belong to who have made it their mission to get me off of the rifle & pistol ranges and onto the shotgun fields. I've shot 6 rounds of trap in the past couple of weeks, and am thinking about grabbing a skeet gun as my old 101 trap gun has fixed chokes (full over, mod under) so I can dabble in skeet too. I shot quite a bit of trap as a teenager, but never really go into skeet at all. Tried a round with my 101 last week and couldn't hit shit. Borrowed a gun choked for a much wider pellet pattern for a second round and did much better. It must be the gun, right?
Any suggestions for a solid skeet gun around/under $1000?
First time I shot skeet with a .410 I shot a eleven. My average at the time was 98% with a 12 ga. My goto skeet gun was a valmet O/U. It was not a spendy gun and I actually wore it out over the 20 years I shot it. Now I use a citori with 26 inch barrels. Trap I use a wingmaster with a 30" x-full. If I was to get back into conpetitive skeet shooting I would go with a citiori with tubes for all guages.

Man, been checking out air guns. High powered, accurate and not draining the bank account. WIN!
