    "Surprise" 2008 Presidential Election Predictions...

    If you had to call one long shot big surprise in the remaining 2008 Presidential Election cycle, what would it be? It can be a low percentage thing... and about any part of the election or process.

    Mine: It leaks out that John McCain's melanoma has returned/is not in remission... Don't know if he'd step aside? If before their convention, would Romney get his spot? If after and he didn't step aside, it would have to doom his chances right?
    If some of the best times of my life were skiing the UP in -40 wind chill with nothing but jeans, cotton long johns and a wine flask to keep warm while sleeping in the back of my dad's van... does that make me old school?

    Hilary comes clean about her secret 70s trip to Stockholm for a sex change operation. She discloses her original name as "Lenny". In a fit of disbelief, Bill has carnal knowledge with house speaker Nancy Pelosi.

    And Kucinich re-enters the race, and wins by a landslide, becoming forever known as a candidate/president that actually was worth a shit.

    That would be a true miracle. Sad the best person for the job gets shut out. The dude is the best choice to run the country. Pete Stark as well.

    Would everyone consider it a surprise if Obama picked Hilary as a running mate? Or vice versa?

    Bush institutes Martial Law, disolves the supreme court and imprisons the members of congress and the senate. Invades Iran and institutes mandatory military subscription. Neocon douchebags rejoice and start burning books and copies of the constitution.

    Is that anything like Martial Law?
    Or does he force everyone to watch the Matthew McConaughey classic "We Are Marshall"? ('cause that would constitute cruel and unusual punishment)

    No, he would forever more become known as the president with the only first lady that most of the men in the country wanted to fuck.

    Osama is captured in October, Maliki steps down and a peaceful Tri-partite coalition gets formed in Iraq.

    Cold Fusion is discovered, as is a cheap method for extracting CO2 from the atmosphere.

    The Republicans take credit for everything, get it due to the Corporate Media finally proving that the whole "Liberal Bias" thing was disinformation and the Sheep who call themselves "voters" toe the party line.

    I DO, I DO!!! Rather than leave it at "my word", I'll give some details so maybe I won't get this question AGAIN next month from someone else? Jeebus!!!

    I addition to the lame South Wisconsin skiing (see my recent Ullr Spring Break 2008 thread), I do get out West once or twice a year, in '07 I had 15 days in January split between Colorado and Utah, and another 10 days in Colorado in December. I didn't get my early '08 trip in, mainly due to Savage being tore up, but still have 2 Loveland 4-pack tickets in my wallet and still have slim hope to beat the May 4th closing date???

    I don't send it hucking or skin the BC, but will share a couple of my pedestrian pics from my December Crested Butte / Keystone trip so you know I'm not some complete poser;

    HUGE ass snowbanks in Crested Butte at the end of our 81" of goodness for that week. (Shit! Does posing in front of a snow bank make me a "poser"?)

    In addition to the snowbanks between street and sidewalk (previous pic), the snow banks continued into yards and sometimes up onto houses!

    Maybe the only skiing pic I took this trip? I did get 6 straight days in at CB though.

    Here's my ugly mug the last day in CB at the mid mountain warming station.

    If you still didn't believe me... ask P_McPoser or Bklyn and others, I had dinner one night with the SuCo folks at the Himalayan.

    I do spend a bunch of time over enjoying TRs in ski/snowboard, but can't begin to provide teh stoke of youse mountain folk, so try to just observe there without cunting anything up... No way I can't give it to Gunder for pic of the year for that one! And I say he IS eligible!!!

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^

    Couldn't you at least take some shots of your ski tips??

    Oh yeah - no surprises. Dems will shoot themselves in the foot like they always do, McCain will be the next Pres., the downward spiral will continue.

    Will do the next time just for you! Now, let's see your beardless face?

    Edit: Jer, here's a "mild stoke" (read "lame") first tracks 06-07 TR. The beginning is several paragraphs of text, but the rest is stupid pics.

    Oh yeah, here's a pic from that TR of my ski tips in my driveway for ya;

    What really scares the shit out of me, is that you might not be far off from what could really happen.

    All it would take is a big terror attack in the months leading up to the election, and he could legally maintain control of the presidency. I wouldn't put it past the traitorous piece of shit.
