jesus, that bad? pcl right? man.. that sucks. anyways - the more we have in the more difficult itll be to do soon, but who knows. sometimes being an mlb employee does have its perksrealistically though.. i think we should look for either last sat in june vs phillies or 2nd week of july vs tex. check out our site here ..

awesome, I'd definately be down for a red sox mini. I've already got a ticket for the June 29th game in NYC if anyone else is making that trip.
I'm heading down to boston this weekend and wandering around fenway area trying to find a cheap ticket(haha) if anyone wants to get some beers. Then on stumps suggestion, definately going to hit Tequilla Ran.
edit: looks like we got the entire mini contingent online right now.
edit2: and ice, we should rally the dc mags and hit a game at camden, then maybe a trip to the babe ruth museum. Havent been to both places in a while.

CD-you just might be in luck. What day you plan on wandering around looking for a ticket? I may have an extra to Friday's. More info to follow.
I too would prefer the Texas game.
Ps... how cool is it that snorkeldeep linked us to the sox site and referred to it as "our site". Thats moneyedit: i mean for him. i wish i could link to some site and say "check out my gig!" and not have people fall over due to complete lack of interest.

well if you got an extra, friday definately. either way we should grab some beers.
i agree on texas, but part of me wants to check an interleague play game just because I've never seen a NL team. (although the sox website says the phillies games are sold out)
well norkledeep is the frickin website. so he has access to the secret secrets within the interweb ticket providers. yep.Originally posted by CantDog

Yeah, hide the vodka, base.
Pretty much any time at Camden Yards is cool, I'll help figure it out, just let me know what y'all want to do. That last series in Oct. has become a problem (not for me, for you guys) since a friend just bought tickets for his family and mine. Bastard.
Flights to the Bean are cheap enough that I can pretty much do that whenever, with some notice.

this curse! this curse! its killing meeeeeee!
Jeter - 4 rings. Mark, um , who?
Some questions: Are those rings supposed to mean something this year? Do they confer a magical ability to be "clutch", or improve Jeter's chances of showing even league average range in the field?Jeter - 4 rings.
Are they like the rings of power - if so, which rings are these? The rings given to men or dwarves or elves? Who has the one ring? Does the Boss feel as if the NL has taken his precious? Is Red Sox Nation tricksy and false?
One thing is certain: much like the ring of power, Jeter's rings are making him invisible on the field this season.
Maybe all the bling is weighing down his average?
Or maybe these are just words of an insecure yankee fan who realizes the Sox are 10 games above .500, 1.5 games ahead of the Bombers, and still haven't played a game with Nomar or Trot in their usual spots in the lineup?
Just asking.
Watched my first MLB game at Fenway, many years ago. Have been addicted to baseball since then, before actually I think. Go Sox.![]()

i'm sorry, i gave them too much credit without realizing how bad they really are.Originally posted by stump832
Did I go on some ridiculous drinking binge and hallucinate the 3 seasons between 99 and 02 when the Red Sox missed the playoffs? Damn that must have been some party...
fine
thats right, mark who? this guy sucks, srikes out all the fucking time, although he walks almost as much as bonds. here is a guy who should not start for any team in MLB, yet his numbers are much much stronger than new yorks favorite player.Originally posted by Benny Profane

i just want to see you yankee guys talking some shit about your shitty players, or your good players who are playing like shit. i mean, if nomar played in the first 40 games with numbers like that he would be crucified in boston. are you too proud to blame your money players? can they do no wrong?
i mean its fine to hate the sox, and root against us as we surley do to your bombers, but why do you guys never ask how or why players are preforming below leauge averages? or do you not care in the slightest about the daily preformance of your ball club, and just trust that somehow ol' joe and george will get you another birth righted ring?
finally, someone sees it the way i do.
ie, numbers don't mean shit, winning does.
fine

Easy there, big fella.
Obviously they work together, numbers and winning. Don't hit, don't pitch, and you won't win.

seriously, you could put up the best numbers around town, but if you don't win when it matters, who cares?
fine
i get your point. numbers play a roll in virtually every basball decision that is made by any club to get them to the last out of the last inning of the last game of the world series. then its up to god.Originally posted by tuffy109

now how hard is that to comprehend?

sweet win for the sox tonight. Schill and the crew absolutely dominated the bay area bombers. tomorrow we'll be looking to avoid another dlowe disaster.![]()
lets keep this fenway mini idea alive - is it just basom, cantdog, snorkel, iceman and me?
Yeah, don't that define the problem with playing in Boston. Yankee fans have a wee bit more patience, knowing that IT'S ONLY MAY, for God's sake.Originally posted by basom

A damn fine manager was fired last year for one bad pitching decision. jeez.
