    Question DH fork?

I have an 02 Turner DHR. Steeper HA then newer DHRs so I want to make it as slack as possible.

I basically have three choices for what I can pay...

new 88rc3 (feel as good as the works? will the white make me go faster?)
used 888 works (pimp feeling, rode last year and it was $$$)
    new RS Team (silly cheap)

So. Which fork could rake out the DHR the most and in-turn lead to me fucking killing it?

edit - Why are code 5's stupid cheap? There's gotta be more to it than the lever. right?

Get a Zoke and swap out for the old high rise crowns?

Edit: Hmmm...looks like they've gone back to high rise on the new stuff.

Buy my cheap ass 7" 888.

It's a dual crown fork so you can make it as slack as you want.

I have high rise crowns if you want them.

    Nah. 8 inches, kid.

But are high rise crowns the same as flat crowns? I'd assume id go that route with one of the 888s. And that said, which fork could be the most raked out possible?

dudem you want my 888. its perfect. we can slacken that HT angle a ton with it. drop crowns (ie add ~1 more degree of slack from flats) go for like $35 on ebay. the flat crowns are like $200.

and fyi i already ordered a replacement fork for my bike, so don't fuck me now.

heh. I don't really have any doubts about going with your fork....So I want "drop" crowns, not "flat" crowns? This shit confuses me.

we should set it up as slack as possible with the flat crowns (ie. the crowns are flat), and see if its enough. it will gain atleast 1.5 or 2 deg of ht slackerness from how it was before. i think it should be $. if not, then trade funken for his drop crowns (ie. the crowns drop the fork/make it slacker) cause he really wants some flats.

Can you drill a new hole in the swing link to lower the bb/slacken the head tube angle without increasing your stack height like crazy?

I know you can on the new DHRs...Don't be afraid of the DeWalt.

oh, and no worries if you don't want those code brakes, but the 5's lever is pretty shanty-town.

Take a picture of the side of the bike with the front of the swingarm in focus.
