    Skiing fuggin roolz!

Ever have one of those days that everything works out just right? Today was one of those days for me. I'd been kinda un-stoked on winter and skiing, probably because I've been stuck on the eastern seaboard most of this year. Been back in Utah for work this week, and today was just one of those days that had me grinning ear-to-ear all day. And what I realized is, apart from just being SOOO happy to be in the mountains, warm, bluebird, tons of snow, beautiful, insane Utah...what really got me stoked was just being around some of the greatest people I've met. And for some reason, today I saw more of them than I have in literally years.

Started off the day at the BD swap, hanging with DTM, Altachic, bagtags, Mr. AG, and rotorhead. Monkeyed around with bikes for a while after that, then headed to Alta/Bird for some sun, groomers, and US Freeskiing Nat'ls watching. Found a great spot with more bros, found MT and co. on the road up LCC, found him again below the venue...found Super G, chomfacekillllsomething, shit-tons of peeps from the bc.com/tramdock werk kr3w, old faces who'd left the same kr3w and returned to yewtah, old Powdermag faces, old skiing bros from the freeskiing tour, THEN finally when I was exhausted from sitting in the sun and out of peebur's, headed down canyon and ran across more old buddies, including powstash, finishing up a Coalpit tour on the side of the road, stopped and shot the shit, drank some more beer, and man oh man I am just high on life right now. SO EFFIN COOL!!!

Thanks for reading the rambling post but just remember to value the people closest to you because when it comes right down to it, they are what matters and today that was so obvious to me, and the ski world just brings together an amazing group of people...I'm so stoked to have been a part of it for so long...and despite being dragged away with responsibilities and relocations and everything, those people are still there and as long as you're a part of the tribe, you STAY a part of it. Rock on.

Skiing is more fun when with one's best friends. Period.

Well said. Skiing isn't always about the deepest pow, but rather those you get to share it with.

It's always a pleasure seeing you. We wish it were more often though!

Hopefully we'll get to ride bikes at some point this summer. I would love that.

Good gosh I need a day like that.
Haven't skied in six weeks or so and I was supposed to go today, but I just don't want to go.
I definitely have the least amount of ski days I've ever had in over 30 years (in one of our best winters ever too)
It's just not appealing at all right now. Boooo!

You guys need to move back here, it's the right place for you.

This weekend in general was great just being in the mountains, bmping into friends all over the place, skiing great snow, beautiful weather (perfect for everything) working on bikes and our house, etc...
