Do they turn white/go numb?
Could be
Raynaud's. I have it. I started getting it when I was a teen (17-18). Otherwise I have very good circulation. It can be triggered by diet and stress, in addition to cold, or a combination of cold and stress. It's worst when driving or skiing, gripping a cold steering wheel or a ski pole seems to set it off. When I'm skiing and I really start to work it tends to get better -- whether that's a function of increased circulation or something else (destressing?) I'm not sure.
Kind of a pita, but it's manageable. Windmilling my arms is the easiest way to get rid of it, forcing blood into my fingers -- though randomly swinging your arms about does tend to draw some odd looks....
