Thread: Is something wrong with my gloves or my fingers?

    I've read that nerves that control blood flow to extremities are in your neck. Cold hands used to be a problem for me and for many years I've been wearing turtlenecks when I ski, which seems to help a lot.

    And ditch those gloves for mittens.

    Didn't read all...

    my bad.

    But on the Raynaud's front...

    alcohol is a vasal dilator... (when those cappillaries shut down, a couple hits of red wine turns your fingers into bright red snausages of warmth...)

    tough to do on a daily/hourly/skiing basis...

    but windmill arms really helps.

    My fave bartender (Carrie) brings me a mug of hot water to wrap my mitts around the minute she sees my fingers on a cold night... but a shot works better... I'm just not practiced enough to order it.
