What's the deal with Crystal's Northback Shuttle?

Heading up to Crystal for a first time visit next week. Been checking out the trail map, and was wondering if anyone had some information regarding the Northback shuttle.

Is the shuttle running? How often? Is it on a schedule?

Also - how is the snow pack running back there on the lower reaches? Is it really worth skiing all the way to the road?

So how do they claim 3100' vertical?

Not quite:

Silver King: 7012, Silver Queen C-6 7002

Village Base ~4450
Northway base: ~3900

Lift served Vertical ~2550.
Old vertical, not possible to get on one run: 3100
Threy oughta run the shutttle hourly on powder days. Lower Northway is a great run if you're one of the first 100 folks down.
