    I hate that "discuss" crap.

There's at least one guy here who makes his living at it, but I'll let him out himself if he wants.

Why start an alias to ask about poker?

I like blackjack. That is all. Poker nights at the Metlen used to be cool, before they got over run with the texas hold em shit.

Serious? Yeah, I guess, kinda. But, then I have my drunken blackout moments at The Mirage 7-Stud games that are pretty funny. Why do you ask? And, please, don't tell us your bad beat stories.

    Btw, is your name Andy?

I don't play, but my buddy gave up practicing law in 2006 to become a professional player. Since then, he's made his way to becoming currently ranked in the top 70 in the world. Game takes way too much patience, so I'm on the very non-serious side of the fence.

I used to love poker before it was televised, you could sit at a table with a bunch of funny old guys and play for hours. Now its a bunch of homo's that think they are gods gift to poker. Its retarded how people emulate what they see. Walk into a Poker room and count how many people wear big ass headphones, smoke unlit cigarettes, quoting the odds of hitting a hands. I never ever heard anyone ever do that until the WPT etc.. I still play the 2-3 no-limit at Tahoe (Harveys) but its rarely a "fun" table.

I used to play quite a bit online. Now I am relegated to Parker's, Drift on Inn, a few bowling alley games and the weekly at the WAC. Any trusted mags in Seattle, PM me if you want in at the WAC game.

That, and partypoker banning american players made online poker way too painful too. I used to play for a living but life as a ski bum slowly absorbed my bankroll to the point that I quit since money was tight and gambling money you can't afford to lose is a bad idea.

I'm shooting for 100k this year. I made 63 last year, mostly online; although I do take trips to LA fairly often.

    What's your buddies name?

I'm guessing we've played at the same table.

I like a game called Shady Lady. 7 card stud. High spade down takes half the pot. High hand the other half. Queen of spades is dealt up the hand is folded and remaining players re-anty and redeal the hand. Folded players are out.

Split pot games are great for a social game.

THIS thread has a pretty entertaining method of playing/practising poker...NSFW, I suppose.

Me & my buddies get together about twice a month for a poker night. Sometimes we do a tournament style hold 'em game but usually it's just dealer's choice. The buy-in isn't big and we're all old friends. It's mainly a chance for the married guys to get away from the families and hang out with old buddies and drink beer more than anything else.

I did win $700 in a couple hours at a $5 blackjack table once at the Muckleshoot casino.
