    Oh no! Porsche MTB recall

Since I'm sure like 90% of the people on this board ride Porsche mountain bikes (seriously, they made them for a few years), I'm sure you already know that there's been a safety recall on them. Says the carbon fiber seat post and handelbar stem could break.

Really, why would anyone by a Porsche mountain bike? BMW makes 'em too.

Since you're now dying to know what they look like -

This is the first pic I can ever recall of someone with the whole bike attire getup and a full face. It just looks bizarre.

Ferrari also makes one. It's a rebadged Colnago and it's something like $9k.

There are a LOT of people out there with more money that brains.

As for the recall - gee, carbon fiber on a mountain bike could eventually break?!? Who knew?

    That was my reaction.

I wonder how many miles any of those types of bikes ever see on dirt? Be interesting to put one of those in the hands of a real dirt junky, see how long they'd hold up.

Ferrari and Colnago have had a relationship for a long time. I think Ernesto taps them for R&D every once in awhile.

Meanwhile- carbon stem? Seems like a bad idea in the first place.

My neighbor has a MB bike, they gave it to him when he purchased an AMG E55.

I think all those bikes were made by AMP designs, no?

Man those bikes were so sweet about 5-10 years ago. Lightest FS bike you could get. I always wanted one.

Back in the day, a buddy of mine used to have an AMP B5. It was light, but that bike flexed more than Schwarzenegger.

I remember he broke it (A LOT).
