First TR, Powder Cowboy many pics, and video

So this is my first TR, so be gentle. If you didn't catch it earlier, I won a trip to Powder Cowboy in Fernie from SKIER magazine.
This is a small sampling of the trip we(Mrs. CA and I) had.
All pics are courtesy of Dave, the photographer, who came out and with us on day 2.

PowCow is a kickass setup with great terrain and killer staff. Turns out I knew some of them from Golden, and our lead guide lives a block away from me.

Day one didn't have the greatest snow, it hadn't snowed for a week prior. We had some really fun spring snow conditions, but not a lot of deep pow. Day two brought some new snow and a lot of fun turns. Day three brought more new snow, and I realized that I was in really shitty shape. Oh well, we still had a great time. And now the pics.

Brought to you by our lead guide, Ian

    tail guide Phill

    And our cat driver Nick

    Me

    Mrs. CA

    First run, day two

Peter, from Austria, "Yah, I go there"

    Me, "I'm-a going thataway"

Many good runs were had on that day

There were also many spread eagles to be had

    I don't roll that way

    And neither do the guides

A little sun, and a nice bowl

makes for a nice video clip

    Mrs CA ripping

and a few more of me

No, not rocking the SX90s. Ian ripped around with proto Beasts, Squads, and demo Axial 120s. Phill rocked 179 SVs with Dukes. The only complaint he had about his DUkes was that they had a tendency to pack up with snow.

And my 185 Blowers ruled out there.

I don't know what kind they were, but they were as heavy as my skis, and had foam halfway down them for sidehilling. And they looked and felt like they were made of solid brass.

For not having new snow for a while, conditions looked pretty damn acceptable...

Those are the best poles I've ever used. They're stiff and the grips rock. Heavy maybe but when I had to carry one of my kids down a steep icy pitch that had her freaked out they saved the day.
