    I bought my first house

The real estate market in Banff has being going ballistic since we started looking about a year and a half ago. Single family homes have gone up in value between 25% and 40% in that time frame, if anything was even available. Finally found what could probably be described as close to my dream house. Paid a pretty penny, but I guess such is life if you want to live in towns like these. It's smallish, built in 1918, in great condition and has an amazing yard for this town. Can't wait to move in on April 1.

My lifestyle has been pretty over the top with traveling for the last few years, but now I guess it's time to cozy up to the mortgage.

    “We All Make Mistakes”

I bought my first house the month I graduated from college and that J-Hole poster haunts me.

Really though.... Congratulations. I can’t imagine a more beautiful place to live I heard there is some skiing in the area.

Congrats powslut. That has a very Muskrat sound to it.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

Congrats!!! (on no longer being homeless... )
If some of the best times of my life were skiing the UP in -40 wind chill with nothing but jeans, cotton long johns and a wine flask to keep warm while sleeping in the back of my dad's van... does that make me old school?

Choose life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, Choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players, and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed-interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisure wear and matching luggage. Choose a three piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked-up brats you have spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life . . .

Good guess and on that street but probably not the one you're thinking of. House warming will be in May sometime.

    and ass to mouth...

What I'm choosing is to not pay someone else's mortgage for them with no net gain for myself. I choose to own something, to have a space that belongs to me which I can do whatever I please. I choose to not live in the city working a mind numbing job. I choose the mountains, where I can see a ski hill out my back window.

How do you know about 217 Otter? I wouldn't even step foot in that place before they condemned it.

Christ is that the white stucco place with the walk out basement. I knew someone living in there more than 15 years ago and it was a shit hole then.

Powslut I thought ass to mouth had you pretty pegged .... except for pretty much all of it. I think they call that transference.

A2M will change his tune when grandma dies and he can afford a down payment. Meanwhile he gets to make a landlord rich and keep himself poor.

    Good luck with that A2M!
