    Question?

Just so you guys dont have to do it Jong! Now moving on to my question. Is that little plastic thing next to my gears all that important? Cuz i definatly broke it in half and was wondering if it was worth replacing or anything. Thanks

No, that thing's worthless. Don't worry about it. Ever notice how high-end bikes at the stores don't have 'em?

Oh, and if you haven't already, take those damn reflectors off your wheels!

They're worthless until your chain gets sucked in behind the casette.

On that note, they never last and they look like shit, so I always take it off.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

it also protects the disc (if you have one) from overspray when you are lubing the chain. Rotors and chain lub just dont get along.

On bikes that have had em, I've always taken them off. As for the lube, just use a drip bottle type and not the spray.

I like to add cards to my wheels with my kickstand. That way when I ride to my volleyball games my bike sounds as kickass as it looks.

    Parts Bashing

If it didn't stand up the first time, why buy another. I mean come on, upgrade or throw that junk away, especially the plastic on the wheel, I haven't seen one of those on a bike in a while. Maybe I just hang out with thrashers that already broke theirs or people who ride their bikes. But if the part can't take a bashin, it aint worth my time. Oh, the chain may get stuck between the casette and the spokes, but you would have to go up hill for that to happen. Oh and the kick stand, what are those. Bungee, would be my second choice for the fix, first choice would be to junk that thing.
