A long drive to go fishing 4

Entering Hopkins, the wording underneath is Garafuna.

After days of bouncing around on the road, we arrived at Jaguar Reef resort,
    it's pretty sweet.

Some rum, a little ice, and here =$$

The bar stool on the far right turned into my office.

Jim's plan is to use a combination of boats from the US and some built in Belize. Before we left the US, we put a flats skiff on a container ship in Miami and shipped it to Belize. We hung out in Hopkins a couple of days waiting for the ship to arrive and then drove up to the port in Belize city to pick it up.

We arrived in Belize city to the chaos of a political rally in full swing.

Making our way to the port.

    Arriving at the port.

The third world gets all the cool vehicles. Check out this diesel Isuzu.

Apparently not all shipping goes smoothly

    But ours did.

Driving out of Belize city is trippy, The road goes right through the middle of the cemetery.

It must suck to visit your relatives in the median.

    Back in Hopkins.

    Next up: on the water

This is nice to follow, thanks.

What's the rough cost of shipping a skiff to S. America? How about in terms of paperwork?

I think it was around $1,400.00 Not much paperwork on this end. About 4 hours of paperwork on the Belize end and $$$
